Entrance Exam

The course curriculum is almost the same as all other engineering colleges. There are as usual 7 lectures in a day ( including practicals). In course, they will include projects so that students can have a proper understanding of all subjects. One bad thing about the course curriculum is that you will have to face a lot of exams .like every month there are some exams, this makes the student not focus on projects but theory only.

Yes, you can do an internship under some reputed teachers. But make sure you choose the teacher wisely. I have not done an internship in college .i did it from drdo. But, in my knowledge, you will not get a stipend but just a certificate at the end. Added to that, you have to select the project yourself which will not give you explore of the outside world. So, advice will be to internship outside.

The best and most popular event is our cultural fest - TAARANGANA. This is the only time when our college attracts a huge crowd. It is worth it .many popular singers, djs, band comes at this time to our college. There is also a technical fest and some little events like Diwali fate, hold fate, some games events by different societies, etc.

The fee structure is quite feasible as compared to other engineering colleges. This is because of its government college. I used to pay 60k for each year. In other colleges, it is like 1.5 lakh for each year.

Labs are there which are good. Sports activity are very less in our college. There is just a badminton court and a volleyball court that too very less used by people. But there are many societies such as dramatics, photography, literature one, music band for doing extra co-curricular activities along with the course.

I was a day scholar so I don't know much but as heard by my friends the services are very poor. You can simply find a lizard in the bathroom or your room. Infrastructure is okayish. But the food of mess is not that good. The warden is very strict.

Seniors are helpful but the alumni network is less strong as compared to other colleges. There is no alumni meet in our college. Moreover you yourself have to approach seniors for help. There is no student union in our college.

There are too many exams at our college. For each semseter, we have minor 1, minor 2, internal practical, external practical and then final exams .5 things going in 6 months. Every month we have to give papers. This made us concentrate less on projects and internship.

For getting admission in igdtuw you have to clear a sentence called jee mains with good marks. Then you will get rank accordingly if you clear the paper and then igdtuw will give out a list according to the ranking they select for all the streams. If your rank matches the range, you are selected in college for that particular stream.

Faculty is good. Some teachers are outstanding in their job. They have so much experience in their stream that they can make you fall in love with that subject. On the other hand, some are so careless towards their job as its a government college and nobody can throw them out of their job. So its mixture of both good and bad faculty.
