Course Curriculum Overview
The course i choose met my requirements I want to learn how business works and various aspects of it. The course is more of theory based and less on pratical side. We study various subjects such as business , marketing , accounting, economic ,statistics, tax. I think the course could be more on practical side. The timing of exams is 3 hours and are of 80 marks and exams are not that much difficult as out of 8 questions we have to do 4.
Placement Experience
Student sit in placement in 5 semester and many big companies come such as Deloitte, Wipro , tcs etc. but the major recruitment is from commerce department. The average package is 6-7 lakhs and highest goes upto 15 lakhs . Many students do not sit in placement as they opt for higher studies. I will also choose for mba .
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fess increases every year by 5000 currently yearly fees is 50000 and examination fees of 3200 per semester.there are various scholarships for sc/st , one girl child and sports quota and if your attendence is short than 75percentage you will get a lot of fine.
Campus Life
Our college conducts many fest on college level and students also organise many events. The annual event of our college is virast which is a great event . There are many other events such as panache, tedx , riwayat , prom night . These events are conducted by societies. The college have over 50 clubs and societies including rotract and enactus. Overall campus life is great
Admission
To apply in the college we have to fill a centralised form for all the colleges in Chandigarh. I got call from all the colleges in applied such as D.A.V , GCCBA 50. But I choose SD because of ranking and placement opportunity. Our college have highest number of clubs and society's . To take admission first fill the form from dhe website and mark ggdsd as first preference, then on merit bases admission is given there are three rounds of counselling and if you got admission in the college, congratulations.
Faculty
The teachers are the best in this college no one will need to take extra tutions , if a person attend all the classes the concept will be cleared. Their is 1 teacher for 50 students and teachers will attention to each student . Niharika mam, Deepti mam,vickle mam and other BBA faculty is amazing. Their are two exams one is mst which is conducted by college and other is semester exam which is conducted by panjab university . The exams are bit lengthy but not so difficult if you study.
