IIIT- Lucknow (A great institute in making)

IIIT-Lucknow exists. Not merely as a simple engineering college but as an INSTITUTE OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE same as other top-notch IITs, NITs, and other IIITs.With a deep and intense IT culture of IIIT-Allahabad, not merely in the field of coding but in the frames of various web and automation technologies as well, Indian Institute Of Information Technology, Lucknow has evolved as an institute of great learning and acceptance in the age of fewer than 3 years. Under the guidance of IIIT-Allahabad, which is the soulful mentor of this very young college, IIIT-L is reaching skies of success in a very short span of time. The seniors are your guides.IIIT-A seniors who have won laurels to the college make them do even better. Their presence is a blessing. From great academics to every possible sport, high speed Internet tonight hangouts at Night Canteens(we don’t let them close till 4 in the morning);its nothing except your own home to distract you from the place.

Entrance Exam, Merit List

The curriculum is great and industry oriented with no unnecessary subjects and is also great in teaching facilities. You kind of is a year ahead of your counterparts. You learn a lot of fields in the first year.

Just the placement session is running this year the avg. The package is about 11.29 LPA which is far better than any other growing NITs or some growing IIIT’s. The coding culture of the college is expanding tremendously. About 25 company are arrived for the placement of the final year student. Students are engaged in many multinational companies for there interns and placement. The highest package this year was 26 LPA of 5 students.

Well, the placements for the current batch are going on so I would refrain for commenting on the placement stats but would like to add that the stats are gonna be far better than any new govt. engineering college has seen barring the IITs of course. Companies like GOOGLE, DIRECTI, PAYTM GOLDMANN SACHS have recruited.

Currently, IIIT-LUCKNOW is in IIITA so events there like EFFE are great. In a very short span of time, it has given a platform for the graduates of different colleges to show their skills with lots of fun and madness. Many cultural cum technical events are organized in EFFE. where everyone can win very good prize money by showing their talents. Some of the events like 'Al Khwarizm, 'Cognoscenti', 'Hackathon', 'Stock hunt', 'Tasveer', 'Short Circuit' got national fame and gets participation from the top colleges of India like IIT-BHU, IITK, MNNIT Allahabad, IIITH and others every year. 'Al Khwarizm' (an annual Online Programming contest) gets international participation. Finally, the celebrity night. It's really awesome. Overall, it's a complete enjoyment of four days.

As IIIT Lucknow is set up on the PPP model, the government expects it to be self-reliant. All the other IIITs that were set up with or around the time IIITL was setup already had a fee that is similar to what IIIT Lucknow now asks for. It’s just that students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd batch got lucky and needed to pay less fee. Even the IIT and old IIITs have also raised the fee for the same reason i.e to meet their operational expenses on their own without help from govt. Though still, it is quite feasible like 2 LPA for fees.

I presume fee waiver scholarships are not part of the institute. Personally, I haven't encountered anyone in need of a scholarship. As far as I know, two or three students are studying with an education loan but they all are managing it at a personal level, not provided/funded by the institute.

You are provided with free laptops for labs which is a great benefit. Sports life is pretty good. There are sports events on a regular basis. We also encourage students in outdoor activities like Football, Cricket, Photography, and Music club. Sharing a couple of photos taken during the events that took place during 2017–2018.

Though it matters about facilities but the most important thing u learn to adjust with the worst nightmares existing in student's life. U will love to reside in hell if you have a good gang around you, same is the case of hostels where anything can happen and when talking about food you have to forget the home taste n experience a new flavor and if a dude was then ready to expend your pocket money on food. And cleanliness has actually existed and I feel good to say that. Rooms are large enough airy, lighted to move you ahead. Rest is all depends on your luck..;)

Since we are a new institute the alumni network is not so much but seniors here are really great they are great at coding and have sound knowledge and take classes regularly. They really are very helpful in guiding us.

Exam structure of the Indian Institute of Information Technologies is more or less the same and way more updated compared to other government colleges even NITs.It is a CGPA system with relative grading which is quite helpful.

Through the JEE MAINS merit list. It is a premier central institute which takes in students via plain merit. Admission is done via Jossa counseling which is a combined counseling process for all IITs, IIITs, NITs and other GFTIS.

Like any other college, some faculties are great while some not so much but overall they are not a problem since in college faculties are one of the least important things you have to do self-study to succeed.
