Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

So basically the course (BA-JMC) has various fields which offer one to get into the relevant he/she has interest in. Per Semester there are 4 subjects along with practicals. The exam structure is as follows: The 1st semester includes 2 inter college exam which is the FIRST INTERNAL AND SECOND INTERNAL. after the two internals, we had one external final exam which is stated as the FIRST SEMESTER EXAM for which the center has been alotted for every course same is as with the second semester.

Placement Experience

1.5

So the placement basically depends on the student. The more he/she learn, the more experience they get also the higher placement he will be allotted to them for later. Our college provides placement as per the student's preference in relevant skills. The internship is the training which was allotted to freshers to improve their skills and raise their experience Our college has conducted some interviews for students for the further selection process in the internship. Also in our official WhatsApp group, our councilor does send us the internship links for us which are helpful.

College Events

5

Our college held so many cultural fests every month. ZEST is our cultural fest which is held every month in February. Also, the other fest is ZEAL which is held in the other main branch of our college that is LINGAYAS VIDYAPEETH. The third main event is Anugoonj which is the main university event held in every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The annual college fee structure for the course of BA-JMC in my college is Seventy One Thousand (71,000), which does not include the college bus expense and fest fees. The bus faculty has also been provided by our college for the students living in different locations. The fee structure for the bus starts from 25,000 per year. They charge us extra fest fees which I 300 per our cultural college fest.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got to know about the scholarship structure from the official university website. There were two scholarships for us to apply i.e MERIT CUM MEANS and EWS for economically backward students. I applied for EWS for which I have submitted the required documents which were Income Certificate as mandatory and our previous year mark sheet also the bank account details. The procedure for the scholarship started with documents submission, then the interview was held in the main university on which basis they have a lot us the financial amount.

Campus Life

1.5

There are enormous extracurricular activities provided by our college like so many events held in every month which give students the opportunity to participate and learn also students go for national level sports competition.

Alumni/Alumna

Before getting admission in this college I had a conversation with some of my seniors. They have guided their best to us and served us with the information and experience they had. Also, our seniors provide us with their notes and project samples. We met some of the students who are pass out in the events held in college. They are settled and all working in good company so obviously, they are motivation and inspiration to us

Admission

IPU CET was basically the entrance exam which was held on a particular date for a particular course for getting admission in colleges of GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY. I applied for the course BA(JMC)for which the application form was of Rs.1000 and the entrance exam center was held in Narela. I cleared the exam with 3256 rank and the later college allotment process was a bit tough as there were rounds. So finally in the third round, I was allotted this college with provisional allotment letter.

Faculty

2

I would describe the faculty of my college as supportive and understanding. They are always ready to help us in all ways. Also in the unofficial hours, they are always ready to serve us with the best of their experience. They do take time from their busy schedule to provide us with the notes which they have self-created.

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

Reviewed on Mar 14, 2025(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.
