- The first thing is the exposure the college provides in almost every field . like i am a b.tech student still we have the basic classes for entrepreneurship and development and also various other skills development classes
- The teachers and faculty are really supportive and helpful . Also the some seniors are really helpful and have a lot to learn from .
- There are various initiatives and clubs that has a lot to learn from . since the university has a lot of activities gping around almost all the times it gives a number of opportunities to learn and master different skills sets
Dislikes
- Since there is almost no barrier for admission, the crowd here is unreal . this year almost 7000 freshers came to college so there is a lot of crowd in the campus. you need to be smart while choosing your company
- the campus size according to me is a con for the university. Though its big but not like most of the private universities around .
- the hostels are a big issue, as most of the hostel rooms are usually filled even before the new admissions start. Most of the freshers didn't got hostel accommodation this year
Course Curriculum Overview
In my opinion the curriculam is a mix of both old and new style learning . The university is teaching us both industry required skills and also the old course . For me the major influence to choose the university was the industry embedded courses offered by the university . According to me some improvements can be done by making the core subjects lectures a bit more interactive as some times it becomes really boring to sit in an hours long lecture and concentrate as well . All the exams are sheduled in 2 month's gap , which in my opinion is more than enough to prepare 2 units per subjects
Internships Opportunities
There are a large no of internship opportunities offered by the university, Starting from international student exchange , the university provides us the opportunity to work with MNCs and move abroad for some months ganing experience as well as a hefty stipend . Apart from that the placement cell of the university is quiet impressive as well . Most of the sgtudents get placed in paid internships in their third year itself . Most of the package offered were decent and some crossed 2 lacks too . Many companies like amazon and flipkart came for recruitment drive this year . Accenture was also among one of the companies whic offered highest stipened packages .
Placement Experience
The placement stats of this college is quiet impressive . All the major recruiters including Amazon, Google , Micrsoft and other big names of the industry came for the placement drive . The packages offered are quiet impressive as well . The third year marks the begining for campus placement in this university ,as most of the students become elegible to sit for internsip placements ,from this year. The highest package offered this year was 54 LPA and the average went to 7 LPA , Almost 95% of the crowd leaves the campus with a secured placement offer in hand , and if not the college curriculam make them sufficient enough to sit for any placement drive outside the college campus .
Fees and Financial Aid
I am currently persuing btech in computer science from JECRC UNIVERSITY JAIPUR , and here is the detailed fee structure for the same course . The overall course fee for Computer Science (Core) is is 2,20,000 (without scholarship) and this increase in case you opt for any specalization or any industry embedded course . Here is a detailed analysis for basic fee structure for btceh (most of the fee structure is same only the tution fees varies a bit with the change in branch or specalization) Tution Fees : 1,56,000 Other Fees : 63,500 Admission Fees : 10000 Fees to be paid in first semester : 1,20,000 This was the basic fee structure of the universtity(For all Categories) . Apart form this , JECRC offers a number of scholarship (merit based) to all the students based on their performance in JEE MAINS and 10+2 boards . Starting from 75% in boards (15% discount ON TUTION FEES) it goes uo to 90% and above (20% discount ON TUTION FEES ) and same is the criteria for JEE MAINS .
Campus Life
The campus life honestly is better than I expected . The seniors are nice , fellow mates are nice as well . There are a lot of clubs and initiatives out there in the college to choose from , almost every talent here has a platform to showcase it . There are a number of fests taking place around the campus , but the annual fest (JU )RHYTHM has its own charm . From Rapper King to Shraddha Kapoor every big name has visited has visted the fest . One of the main point of attraction for me was its international student exchanage society that offers to incoming and outgoing student exchange for national students. The social club of the university has gives us perfection in various skills such as photography vedio editing graphic desgining and many more . Also they have started a new podcast club for all the podcast lovers . The MUN society's JDS, INNOVATE for all the tech and gaming entusiasts and may more fests take place all round the year .
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilites are quiet decent as well , though not very aesthetically pleasing , but still the compartment style living gives both private as well as cozy vibes at the same time . The mess though is commendable , under an AC roof the serve piping hot , homely indian cusines . Healthy and tasty at the same time . They have one of the most hygenic mess I have been around in Jaipur . The college offers outside hostel as well which is near, more aesthetically pleasing and the mess maintains its quality there as well . overall experience in hostel and mess is quiet satisfying.
Admission
The admission process is quiet easy . You just have to fill the form, come to university , submit cash and you are good to go . I during my admission process have applied for a number of colleges including VIT Vellore as well, but the ease to reach the college from my native place , its impressive placement stats and its industry ready curriculam was something that gave this college an edge over various other colleges in the list . Talking of my journey to other colleges , distance played a major role , also if the placement stats is same for most of the colleges , this one was quite affordable and stats are really impressive too .
Faculty
The faculty and staff is really supportive and helpful . Most of the teachers are relaxed and do not create unncessary problems for the students . though some are strict but if you attend daily lectures you can defenitely take back home a lot of knowledge . there is like 1 faculty for every 60 students for theory classes and 1 faculty(teacher) and a lab assitant to every 30 students for labs . the course structure and exam pattern is simple and easy to understand. The exams are devided into 2 in-sems and 1 end-sem . The final marks are a combination of both in-sems, end-sem, assingment and projects . The marking scheme is quite easy as well . the basic understanding of concept is only thing that is required to score a decent CGPA in the end sem . The faculties are really impressive and supportive as well . My personal favourite is my mentor Ms. Dinky , who is really supportive and understanding .
