- At BMSIT i enjoyed the supportive faculty , modern infrastructure and diverse student community. The infrastucture indulges excellent lab , library sports and other facilities. These facilities at the insituition has helped me acadamicaly.
- BMSIT offers a lot of student clubs that students can enroll in for better personal and academic growth . There are many clubs like rotaract , coding , IEEE etc clubs that help you stay active in college.
- The cultural fest at BMSIT are really amazing as they not only have yearly Tech fest which help to enhance your technical skills but also provide fun indulging activities at cultural fests for refreshment
Dislikes
- The wifi connectivity in college could be an issue for hostel students as they dont offer a widebandwidth.
- The lifts in college are very minimal with low electricty due to which disabled or physically chanllanged students might find difficulty.
- The canteen food may be expensive as compared to other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum has been recently updated by VTU due to which we are able to study the new and latest concepts . They have expanded our knowledge to a variety of problems and languages which can help to diversify our knowledge in different aspects . Our curriculum also induldges subjects like Indian Constitution , Scietific Foundations of Health , culture and society which helps us have a better understanding of our country and society. The exams are conducted on time , the teachers are regular to class and finish the portions on time.
Internships Opportunities
Our college encouranges students to aquire an internship after every academic year. By third year companies come to college to offer students internships.Our college has also collabed with many IIT's to offer us internship and training oppurtunities . They have collaborated with the ICT academy , Emberquest , Cisco etc to provide us with traning and internship oppurtunities.
Placement Experience
Our college placements are amazing!! Our college brings a wide range of companies from top teir to small start up comanpies that offer really good packages based on your abilities . We also have placement training which helps us prepare better for placements . The average package that our college offers is about 8 lakh and last year the highest package was 46 lakh which is more as compared to what other top colleges have to offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearwise fee is 92,724 rupees as i am a merit student who secured 2500 rank in my KCET exam that is conducted by the Karnataka State Board. The tuition fee is 69,214 rupees, 150 rupees is the admission fee , the library fee is 3100 rupees. The maintance fee including the labarotary fee and maintance fee is 2450 rupees. Other miscellanious fees such as sports fee, cultural fee, news letter fee, project work fee , feedback fee, personal develeopment fee sums upto 9750 rupees. This sums to a total of 89214 rupees. Along with this we are expected to pay a VTU fees of avout 3510 rupees which is a total of 92724 rupees in all for a student joining college through KCET. For a student who is enrolling through COMED-K examination , their yearly fee is 2,57,706 which is including all the facilities mentioned above , and including the VTU fee which is also 3510 the total yearly fee for COMED-K students round off about to 261216 rupees.
Campus Life
Our colleges offers students the chance to join various clubs like Rotaract , coding , robotics , dance , music etc which help students to not only excel academically but also culturally. Our college offers yearly tech and cultural fests for students to showcase their technical as well as cultural talents . our college offers many hackthons which help to keep students active during college and helps them to persue many other things along with academics.
Admission
Before chosing BMSIT i had applied for other colleges like RAMAIHA , BMS , PES , but due to convience in transportation and facilities i chose BMSIT. Although other colleges may seem to be more reputed as compared to BMSIT , if you view the overall outcome from BMSIT is not very different than that of other colleges . In terms of average packages , facilities , infractuture , faculty etc , BMSIT stands amongst one of the top 15 colleges in the state.
Faculty
The faculty ratio is approapriate for the student ratio. No teacher fails to attend the classes and the classes are always conducted on time . The teachers and other staff members are very friendly and approachable , they help you when in need and are extremely relaible . They seek to uplift you in every possible way . The Principal itself is a very down to earth individual who seems to make a connection with every student in college to have a personal touch , which is not seen in many other colleges . The syllabus in our college is autonomous but since its also affiliated to VTU the encoperate old and new concepts in our examinations , the curriculum has recently been updated thus helping us to gain knowledge on new technical concepts . About 91 percent of students pass the examinationn as teachers already enlighten you about the important subjects and concepts.
