There's no such thing as negative in the college. Only thing is that the college wilk be one of the best in Assam when it is completed to its fullest. It's an honor to study in such a college taken under by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).

Entrance Exam

There are three branches in the college; petroleum, chemical and piping. The course is basic for the first 3 semesters and then a bit more diverse for the next 3 semesters. The course is divided uniformly in such a way that there is no extra pressure for a student in any one of the semesters.

No, not yet. But the Administrative team of members, the Training and Placement Cell of the college that comprises of the faculty members and Students from the first and the third semesters are working on the task and trying to get some companies to indulge and invest in our students.

For now, the college has only 2 batches. One batch of 90 students are of the 3rd semester and the other batch of 90 is of 1st semester. Though, the Training and Placement Cell is working on to get some companies in the college for future placement programs.

RGIPT, Sivasagar celebrates all National Celebrations. In the upcoming March 2019, we are going to celebrate the colleges' annual Techfest; XIWORONG. Apart from that, the college organizes events like Run for unity, Swacchta Abhiyan, etc.

The fee structure is easily feasible by a student of any background. The admission fee for one year is 9,000 INR. Apart from that, hostels are alloted and there is no extra charge taken for hostel accommodations. The mess fee is 1850 INR per month which has to be paid by the hosteller.

For now, there is no such facility provided by the college. But with time, as the college grows, the Administrative Team and Training and Placement Cell will look upon that field as it would benefit the students of the college as well as others if they want to avail the fortune of the plan.

Extracurricular activities include field trips to various petroleum and gas indulged companies like ONGC, IOCL, etc. Sports facilities are available and are used by all the students. Labs are yet to be constructed and for the time being, DUEIT Workshops are used for the same purpose.

The hostels deserve A+ grade on a scale of A to F. Beds and table is provided. The hostel has proper dining, bathrooms, roof, balcony and is located in a silent location usually good for studies. Moreover, sports facilities are provided for all 6 of the hostels.

For now, there are no alumni of the college. The seniors are helpful in every possible way we want them to be. Hence, there is no problem with blending in the college real quick for students. Seniors keep us up to date about the college decisions and keep us indulged in the various curriculum of the college.

Exams are held in the semester system. In every semester, there are 2 exams held, the Mid sem and the End sem. The practical exams are held at Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh due to the inavailability of proper lab facilities in our college. Apart from that, quizzes, tests, and assignments are given during the semesters.

I got admission in this college through the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT). Its a common exam granting admission for diploma courses in various colleges in Assam. This exam is generally held in the month of May every year.

The faculty of the college is good and well versed. Lecturers are degree holders in their respective fields from the best colleges of the country. Faculty members also comprise of IIT graduates, Researchers. One of the best team of Faculty.
