Likes

Well the professors are skilled so the classes goes thoroughly fine.
The tution regarding classes are fine as well and they complete the syllabus within the given period.
The campus is considerable and I have been doing fine till now, btw more to go.

Dislikes

The behaviour of the workers, they are harsh and rude. Especially the online workers.
The campus is fine but needs more maintenance and washrooms etc are dirty so yes more maintenance needed.
I don’t like the holiday system, they don’t follow government routines.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum evaluation is the process in which the merit of a curriculum is tested with previously set achieveable standards of education. Good ways of curriculum evaluation are ; Formative tests Students achievemet grades Interest of students to participate in an activity Participation in co curricular activities Attedance Community programmes If there are any discrepancies then the management has to review the curriculum and fix its flaws.

Placement Experience

Well our college doesn't have placements. I have chosed accounting and finance as my major so after completing degree i am thinking of pursuing further education in masters in finance, an mba or a specialised postgraduate can enhance my skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees that i am supposed to pay is approx 20,000. And the tution fees includes 1000 per month. Caution fees added and registration fees etc charges 10,000. My batchmates fees varies with their course and extra tutions. We get one scholarship per year. NSP

Campus Life

Well i am the sports secretary of my college. I enjoy playing sports so i am also in th field of sports. My participation in sports have been great. Sports club. The library is all fine for students to study.we get annual festive seasons during December and october.

Hostel Facilities

The room facility is fine untill now. Will rate 6/10. Well the college has provided one more new hostel construction lately. Meal quality is not so good tho. Menu be like - 2 times meat a week. Registration process is simple, all uh have to do is apply for it as soon as possible. The seats get full veryy fst indeed.

Admission

I applied to medical college at Ahmedabad but since the seat were full and also my financial condition wasn't stable, I didn't join that college. If i would had joined the medical college then i would choose the course of - pharmacist. Our college admission process is simple and easy, all you have to do is apply online and wait untill the merit list is announced. Well since i had considerable percentage i was easily enrolled in my college. I didn't get rejected in other colleges but financial condition let me downz

Faculty

Considering , i chosed accounting and finance, whereas accounting is quite hard as compared to finance. I didn't like the economic faculty. There are overall 5 exams including pre test and final exam. Out of 127, 12 students failed.

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nothing influenced my decision to choose this course. I just wanted to choose this course for fun, to be honest. the curriculum rarely prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but whenever it does it would be very beneficial for the students. Held frequent inspections in the college so that they can improve themselves and the teaching method should be in a friendly and more comprehensive way. The exam timings are perfect along with the perspective of their difficulty level.

Gauhati Commerce College : A premier Institution for Conmerce Education with Evolving Opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, nothing specific has influenced me in the decision to choose this course that is BCOM as most of these student after passing shoes, so I also opt to BCOM. Well, the curriculum does not fully prepare the students for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They does not provide any practical knowledge or any kind of internship to the students for the real world. Well, according to me, they should provide some internship or something related to practical knowledge. This improvements are very necessary. The frequency and timing of exams is very low like within four months the university tries to complete the whole semester, and it's very hard to complete the whole syllabus within just four months.

Good aspects The teacher are all qualified and have all good degree, The college provides all kind of scholarship for the student The campus is good 3.5/5 I would give. There are lots of student from different communities College also hosts different types of activities. They even provide free admission for waivers Bad aspects The gateman and principal don't care about the cows and dog entering inside the campuses something dog even gets inside the classroom while taking the class. They mostly don't clean the classroom. Some room is dirty and old. There is a gymnastics room but never open for us. The admission process is too long. It takes around 10 -20 days to get selection 1st student should go to the college website and then they should fill up the form and then they must submit to college after that they must pay the fee at the bank which is far from the college, Admission is taken in July and student are selected according to merit wise.
