Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum prepares us in a well prepared manner for the modern world by teaching us about a lot of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, basic computer apps like Sheets, Word, etc. However there is always some room for improvement and it can be done by adding AI learning in the course.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers internship opportunities from various well known companies. Recently the students were offered internship from The Tata IPL at eden garderns, Kolkata. The stipend is sufficient with respect to the jobs offered.
Placement Experience
There are about 5-6 placement drives held within college campus usually between the month pf may to june. The first year students can apply for internships And 2nd and 3rd year students can apply for either temporary or permanent jobs. My plans after degree is to apply for CDS
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fees for my course is 37,035. This adds upto 74,070 yearly. No extra charges are required to pay after the submission of the semester fees. Not even Calcutta University registration and examination fee. The college provides almost full scholarship for students securing 90% and above in their 12th or having meritorious achievement in any particular sports field.
Campus Life
The college hosts on of the largest college fest every year at the end of December named "UMANG". The college library has over 11,000 books and 16,000 e- books available. The books are for available according to each course syllabus, various novels, motivational and educational books, references, etc. There are altogether 16 collectives in the college run by students under the guidance from their respective mentors. The collectives help students learn stock market, dance, singing and music, photography, movie making, etc.
Admission
Honestly speaking I applied only for this college and luckily got my name merited after 2 days. The eligibility for admission is minimum 45% of marks in 12th. Students need to apply online through college website. Once application is confirmed students need to wait for the merit list.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is little more than required. The faculty to student relationship is quite good. They are always approachable even through calls and texts. The best faculty is the NCC ANO and CTO. The examinations are held on a semester basis and the paper is set by Calcutta University. The paper is quite tough in which you cannot score good by last night study. The course curriculum is relevant according to modern world.
