Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course as Economics is my favourite subject and I have further goals in which economics play a major role. The curriculum is quite nice as it keeps me in line with the ongoing events in the market and in the world. The teaching methods should drastically change as in order to help us. A whole semester takes 4 months to complete in which there are 2 exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for 1st year in our college was around 8k. The people having reservations were to submit a amount less than this. Although the exam fee is separate from this which is to be submitted before every exam in each semester. Scholarships are available but not directly through the college but through government schemes.

Campus Life

1

There are no major annual and technical festivals at all. The books in the library are really old and mainly related to our course, no other sections of books. There is only 1 smart classroom. There is Army wing of NCC in our college. The level of sports is not quite good. There is no social clubs.

Admission

I got into an off campus college of DU. Ambedkar college but I dropped it because it has 75 percent attendance rule unlike this college. The admission process of our college is that it doesn't have any seperate entrance exam. It requires a good 12th percentage. The admission experience was quite not good as it was extended without any reason.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty to student ratio is not quite desirable. It's 1:50. The faculties are somewhat approachable and friendly but doesn't provide us with any prior information regarding exams. There are 2 exams in each semester. The mid terms are relatively easy than the final ones. End of semester exam is a hurdle to clear as many students fall short. The curriculum is in line with the course but not taught properly at all.

Semester 5th students become eligible for campus placements. Many small companies have visited my university and held campaigns and various events to find the skilled workers for their company. The average package is around 20-30 lakh per annum and the highest was around 50-60 lakh. 60% of students get placement in different companies. After getting my degree i would apply for a job in a good company and will get settled there .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum overall offers a balanced mix of theoretical foundations and practical exposure, making it fairly relevant for students aiming to build strong academic knowledge while preparing for real-world scenarios. Below is a detailed breakdown based on various aspects of the curriculum plus Exams are generally conducted at regular intervals, which helps students stay consistent with their studies. The timing of assessments—spanning internal tests, mid-sems, and final exams—ensures that students are evaluated both continuously and comprehensively. However, sometimes exams may feel closely spaced, which can cause stress. A slightly more balanced schedule between consecutive assessments would be helpful
