Course Curriculum Overview
1) The course that I had opt was Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy Honours) , I opted this course as i always wanted to make career in accounts and finance. 2) The frequency of exams are twice in 1year .
Placement Experience
1) There is a Placement Cell in the College Campus. 2) Usually College provides Placement facilities to the final year students of all the Departments as well as to the alumni's 3) Different Private Banks, Private Limited Companies comes to hire freshers from the campus
Fees and Financial Aid
1) Tution fees are paid half yearly : Rs 18000 per semester. 2) Year wise the fee is almost: Rs 36000 p.a. (Semester exam fee is excluded and have to pay for that as well). 3) Admission fees is almost: Rs 30000 ( this includes your uniforms,1st semester fee , id card, Magazines. 4) Just beside the college there is a Paying Guest Facility for Students, monthly fee for the same ranges from: Rs 5000 to Rs 8000. 5) There is scholarship of Rs 6000 per year for SC,ST,EWS( Swami Vivekananda Scholarship)
Campus Life
My Overall Experience with Campus Life was Very Joyous, as the campus organized various co curricular activities. It organizes: Model United Nations (MUN), Inter college, inter Departmental Basketball, volleyball,cricket, table tennis,football, Annual athletics meet, Dance,singing,skit competitions, quiz competitions and so on.
Admission
1) I had applied in Suryasen Mahavidyalaya College and had my admission was confirmed there also buy I chose Salesian College Sonada, as it is a private institution and is run by Salesians. 2) I didn't join Suryasen Mahavidyalaya College, as my preference was Salesian College Sonada 3) The admission process is simple, you have to apply online in the official website of Salesian College, after that you mab be interviewed over a telephone.
Faculty
1) The faculty to student ratio is 1:30 2) The Members of Faculty are mostly like Friends/Brother/Sister to the students. 3) There are total 8 Semesters and almost 97% student's Manage to pass. 4) The Faculty members are so approachable that even after college hours you can contact them for doubts.
Interview Experience
1) Yes ,Before admission, 2 telephonic interview has been taken. One was taken by the Vice Principal himself and the 2nd one was taken by Head of the Department (HOD) of Commerce Department. 2) Questions asked were mostly general like where am I from, why did you choose Salesian College, Sonada and why did you choose Commerce
