Mechanical engineering is good if you do in Good college like Nirma, LD, VGEC, BVM, otherwise chances of getting a job are less. But if you have skills and control over design software, you can get a job.

In LJ, College does not provide you an internship, you have to find an internship yourself, but in Gujarat, companies are good for students who are finding an internship. Some of my friends are doing an internship but the stipend is low around 2-3k per month.

If we talk about Placements, honestly they are low. Mostly Computer and IT Engineering students get a decent job, but in Mechanical engineering, Civil engineering and EC, IC engineering, placement are very low.

There is an event called LUMINA which is the annual festival of LJ INSTITUTE of engineering and technology, there is tech fest called Notion, we have some other celebration too, like LJ NO SANEDO which is a Garba event performed in Navaratri.

Fee per annum was 73,000Rs. per year at the time of my admission, but for new students, it is now around 90,000RS. per annum which is a little bit expensive for the type of college, but if you are interested in Computer or IT ENGINEERING, it's reasonable.

You can get scholarship called MYSY (Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlamban Yojana) from Gujarat government if you have more than 80 percentile in your board exams, in which you will get 50% of your college fee back in your bank account.

Yes, there are many extracurricular activities and societies, like Football, basketball team, Table tennis, etc. There are labs too but you will be taken there only once in a week. The college also has a Baja team called BlackHawks

There is no hostel in college, but there are many PGs on S.G Highway which provides you food, accommodation, and laundry service at a cos of 8000RS. per month which is reasonable, but Student complain about food quality and taste.

You can join on Facebook groups. But They aren't so helpful, once I inquired at the time of my admission to the college, but I didn't get any answer to my questions from Facebook groups of LJ INSTITUTE. But you can ask to your senior in schools.

As the college is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University, we have to give eight-semester exams in four years, in college, we have two Mid-Semester exams every semester. University exam is 70 marks, MidSem is of 60 marks.

First of all, I had applied for the ACPC( ADMISSION COMMITTEE FOR PROFESSIONAL COURSES) for admission in Gujarat state, they conducted online admission round, in which I got admission in LJ INSTITUTE in Automobile stream, then I re-applied in the same college for Mechanical engineering in the vacant seat round and I got admission.

Faculty are good in college, they teach even if there are 2-3 students in the class, they are supportive, facilities are knowledgeable about the subject and conduct extra lectures if you have doubts in subject.
