COMED-K. I don't remember my scores though. My rank was 10,644.I opted for this particular college because it had a decent ranking.

The course curriculum gives us the choice to study 5 out of 8 chapters compulsorily in each subject for the final examination. I however feel that knowledge in a subject is what really matters and hence all 8 chapters should be taught. This also will make us confident enough to attend tests like GATE,IES etc.

No companies came in to offer internship. A lot of them however do provide good workshops. If a student wants to opt to do his/her internship in a company, they themselves have to take actions to do so. Also a few companies like infosys offer an internship of 6 months to students who get placed on campus.

The placement opportunities are good but most of the companies that come are usually IT sector companies which offer a salary of around 3 to 3.5 lakhs per annum.

Our college organizes an annual fest named INTER-ACT. It is an inter collegiate fest that takes place for 2 days and a large number of technical and non-technical events are conducted and a lot of other college students also actively participate in those events. Also each department organizes their own fest once in 4 years in which students from all other branches within the college can participate in a wide range of events.

The fee structure is very expensive for COMED-K students and for a middle class person it might just burn a little hole in their pocket. The total investment for 4 years amounts approximately to 5,00,000 INR for a COMED-K student which i think is really unfair. For CET students however the fee is reasonable. Also if you get a CET seat through SNQ quota the fee is drastically lesser.

Scholarships are granted for well performing students admitted through CET. Again COMED-K students are not privileged in this respect as they are not offered any kind of scholarship even if they top the exam. Student loan can be availed at any point of time or particularly during the start of a semster/ an academic year.

The gender ratio differs for various branches although it is almost 1:1 for most of the branches except mechanical engineering. The college has a highly good co-education atmosphere where students from both genders get along really well. Not only that, students from different race and religion also get along really well.

The exam structure is quite student friendly. The question paper pattern in the internal as well as external assessment are also quite easy to get through. And there are only 2 lab sessions in a week so we are usually chilled out. Lab exams are also easy
