My experience at ICFAI Hyderabad

The course I took is for students who want to pursue a career in computers but didn't take the subjects required and this is one of the few unis that provides this course. They teach you everything there is to know in the job market and what we could go for.They need to improve in the subjects that involve theory and make it less pressurizing and more interesting to learn. The timing for the exams is back to back so we barely egt time to rest which is not very fun you would finish your exams in 3-4 days which is very fast and no rest.

The fee structure yearly is 240000 and hostel fees are 69000 depending on if you want a room with a washroom included you would have to pay 10000 extra there is also a caution deposit and admission fee of 20000. Coming to a scholarship if your cgpa is above 9.5 you get a full scholarship if it's between 9.0-9.5 you get a 75% scholarship if it's between 8.5-9.0 you get a 50% scholarship and if it's between 7.5-8.5 you get 25% scholarship. The course fees are the same although the hostel fees could increase in the second sem. My course is BCA which is a 3-year course for a 4-year course like B.tech it would cost 100000 and they would have to pay a 30,000 caution deposit and admission fees.

The overall campus life is really fun you get to meet alot of creative people and make connections with them. Our uni also hold our yearly festical called Thrithi which is a cultural event involving every aspect to make it fun for students like competions shows and games.

The hostel facilities need to improve at least in my block there are other diffrent blocks and there is a new building with ac which we don't have and also the doorst here dont't close properly for washrooms and the walls are peeling off which does not look good but the new building for the new students seems to be really well done with ac and proper flooring and stairs and everything. The mess food is really good on some days and not so good on other days.

The only other university I applied to was Lovely University, but I was not accepted. I chose this because this was the only other uni I applied to and got accepted. I got rejected cuz I wasn't eligible. The admission process for my uni is as first you have to submit the application then there is an interview which could be offline or remote mine was remotely done over the phone and then I got accepted. You need to have a minimum of 50% in boards +2 overall and you don't have to write any extra exams. Compared to other colleges our college is behind in infrastructure although they're building a new building which we will have to wait and see.

The faculties are very chill and approachable you can go to anyone for help. I like my coding and math professors since they understand they try to make classes are more fun and ebgaging. I didn't like some of the faculties that teach theory because they preassuruze alot and there's more assignments to do than learning actually. in 1 semester there are three exams Test-1 and Test-2 consisting of 20-15 marks depending on the subject and the Comprehensive exam consisting of 50-60 marks depending on the subject and then you have practicals which carry 15 marks.
