VGEC is a a very good college. If anyone gets the Admission, I can assure that the person will love environment here. It provides platform to showcase and enhance your skills in a way that will be helpful in future as well as in your career.

Merit List

It's designed by the Gujarat Technical University. It's ok as this course is running in almost 50 colleges which are under GTU. Some of the subjects which are outdated but are still there in the curriculum.

Yes VGEC provides internship programs. There are clubs running for this particular task. Senior faculties take personal care of these clubs and they also provide their industry contacts. In general sense, college is doing their part very well.

Placements are good at this college. Almost 40-50% of students get placement in this college. Last year in EC, out of 120, 65 students got placements in various fields of electronics and communication. It's a good option if you are seeking a good degree and ROI.

Major events that are celebrated every year are Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Farewell, Different club events like fresher's party, Departmental events, expert talks, etc. Every year one Techfest is organized by a student committee.

Fees are nominal, as it is government college fees per semester are roughly 1700 rupees. For students of OBC/ SC/ ST, there is a benefit in fees. So fees are very low as compare with most colleges nowadays.

When you are getting admission, GTU provides scholarships to the students whose family income is less than 600000 per annum. And it is for every student at the college. Under this scholarship, Students will get yearly 10000 rupees for their academic expenses.

The college has a very strong program running for these types of activities. Under which expert professors conduct extra lab hours for those students who are interested. There are less opportunities in sports in this college.

Actually, it's not quite good. Hostel facilities are ok just like any other normal hostels. Food quality in hostels is also ok. But as fees of hostels are very less, just 5000 rupees a year, so if there are not standards maintained, it can be understandable.

The alumni network is very strong and they are very helpful. They help to organize expert lectures on the topics that are new in the market as well as helpful for the students in their career and their degree in engineering.

There are 2 mid semester examinations in this college. Mid semester examinations are as a part of Continuous evolution system, under which you must have to maintain your attendance above 75% otherwise you are not allowed to give exams.

This college strictly gives admission on the basis of merit rank. As I got very good marks in 12th examination, it was easier to get admission into the college. After the 1st merit list was out by the Admission Committee of Gujarat, I got admission in this college in the very 1st round.

All the faculties have very good knowledge in their field. All the senior faculties have a Ph.D. and most of the Assistant Professors are pursuing a Ph.D. It's good that college has all these senior faculties. It's very helpful for students.
