Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very well designed by Gujarat Technological University (GTU). Computer Engineering course consists of 8 semesters , Each semesters having on an average of 4-5 subjects. The Project here plays a very important role & holds highest credits in final semester .
Internships Opportunities
Yes . Our college do provide internship in their final semesters through T&P cell (Training & Placement cell) . The stipend ranges from 4000? per month to 20000-30000? per month depending upon field , company & ability of student.
Placement Experience
The Training & Placement Cell in SOCET brings a lot of companies for the placement. The market for IT companies is at all time high so it is very easy in SOCET to get campus placement. The placement procedure consists of Aptitude test with GD (group discussion) & PI (personal interview).
College Events
There are several events going on in our college. The cultural fest - JUNOON, the Sports fest - SPORTS MANIA are conducted every February. The college also organizes the Garba event for the students during Navratri.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure in SOCET is very feasible. Per semester in SilverOak college of Engineering & Technology (SOCET) costs less than 40,000. Thus considering facilities provided by the college the fees is much feasible for the students.

There are lots of scholarship and loan facilities provided by the college as well as by Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to the students. The loan facility is provided by many banks at very reasonable interest rates.
Campus Life
SOCET is known for its extracurricular activities. All the department has taken part in numerous competition & have done amazingly well in it. The SOCET has also provided with Apple Lab which no other college in Gujarat has provided to the Computer Engineering department. All the major Sports activities are on-going on the campus. All the extra-curricular activities, SPORTS activities & Lab facilities are very good in SOCET.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure & facilities provide all the required amenities to the students. The hostel is the very near distance from the college. The mess facility is also available in the hostel. There are all types of bed sharing facilities available. I would rate Hostel facilities & infrastructure 8/10.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. The alumni network & senior students are very helpful regarding Education, study material, career advice & also with Placement facilities. Many of the senior students are studying abroad & they are also very helpful with all the necessary procedures required to study abroad.
Exam Structure
The Exam structure in SOCET consists of 2 mid-semester exams of each 30 marks. To become eligible for mid-semester exams one must clear all the module test which is conducted during their respective Lab sessions.
Admission
I got admission in this college through the procedure of ACPC merit list , which is calculated by Gujarat board . The merit list is calculated on basis of 12th board marks & performance in JEE Mains.
Faculty
The College faculty is providing a lot more effort in empowering students in the field of computer engineering. Colleges offer a lot of courses side by side Engineering so that students become well-versed in our respective fields.
