Remarks

Administration of the college really needs to stop and overthink its decisions, and maybe sometimes try to incorporate students' suggestions. Whole of the senior year students are frustrated with what has become of college from 2015 to 2019.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is really good. It is spread over different departments viz. Computer Science Department, Electronics and Communication Department, Mathematics Department, Physics Department, and the Humanities and Social Studies Department, where each department offers its set of core and vast elective courses.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college does provide internship under LNMIIT Undergraduate Student Internship Program, devoid of any stipend, but with time and opportunity to dive in their fields of work and stay immersed in it. Teachers are always there to guide students, and this is the place, apart from sports or group projects, where students really learn team work.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements and job opportunities are really good, as compared to other private and even a lot of government colleges. The Placement Cell of college, although sometimes ignorant and commits silly mistakes, cares deeply for students and time and again tries to bring the type of companies and job opportunities which students want to pursue.

College Events

5

There are a plethora of events in college, whether it be intra- or inter- college. 3 main inter-college events which are spread over 3 consecutive weeks of late January - early February are quite massive and comprise sports fest, Desportivos, cultural fest, Vivacity, and technical fest, Plinth. Also, there are intra college drama and fashion competitions. Sadly and surprisingly, the college does not have intra college music and dance competitions. Almost, all the major Hindu festivals are celebrated in the college, other religions' festivals, not so much. There are a few other great club events as well, and by few, I mean a lot. Many workshops, Tedx talks are some of them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is more or less feasible, although fees are increasing every year by roughly 10 percent, which frankly is quite a lot, since facilities are depreciating continuously, since college has started stuffing students, mindlessly filling the gaps.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers the scholarship to meritorious students, each year, and many of my friends and juniors have availed and benefitted from them. Also, when it comes to student loans, college personnel are really understanding and of helping nature, and completely co-operate in times of trouble. Suppose when someone falls short of money, the college administration extends deadlines for them with exemption of any late fees, but obviously in genuine cases.

Campus Life

2

Extracurricular activities are pretty much carried out by clubs lead and coordinated by students. Sports teams are also pretty good, and a few of them have coaches as well, namely basketball, football, and volleyball. Basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton have ample participation from girls, as well. The college also has a tennis court. Labs are great and have quite good equipments, but most of the students are not aware of them, as there is no proper tours of labs.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel infrastructure and facilities are definitely sub par. In many places, even if something good or great is installed or constructed, maintenance is the worst. They consider students to become vigilantes and report every maintenance fault, instead of doing them by themselves at least once a year. Drinking water in hostels is year long cold, rooms have ducts, but need repairing again and again. Labs have really good equipments, but most students don't know about them. Microphones of college are unreliable and always betray the people. Internet used to be good, but is now okay. Bus service often troubles students. Canteen area is evidently small, now that a plethora of students are stuffed. As a result, library and mess, too offer insufficient space.

Alumni/Alumna

This college thrives on the junior senior relationships, which are on the decline, of late, on account of a few rogue students, and helpless yet ignorant administration members. Alumni regularly visit or share their experiences via e-mails, or Skype chats, and even sometimes help in placements. A few alumni even come for recruitment, either from a company they are working in or bring their own startups to recruit the students. Also, many seniors refer juniors for jobs off campus.

Exam Structure

The exam structure revolves around generally 4 quizzes, one mid semester exam, one end semester exam, and occasionally, attendance and/or presentation or case study. Many times best 4 out of 5 or best 3 out of 4 quizzes are also taken into consideration.

Admission

Firstly, I had to fill a form prior to JEE Mains results with preference order of 5 different branches. Then, after JEE Mains results were out, we got the results whether we got our desired branch, or were we on a waiting list. Then, 3 or 4 rounds of waiting lists, changing as to how many students back out of the college, followed by a spot round, branches were alloted on the basis of JEE Mains marks, alone.

Faculty

3.5

Mostly, the faculty is experienced and concerned for students, and quite a few excel at teaching. On the other hand, the college has its own set of sadistic or ignorant faculty members whose sole purpose of being in the college is to make lives of students miserable.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.
