Likes
- The campus is very vast and there is no shortage of any supplies inside the campus.
- There are a lot of different types of dishes available to buy inside which promotes diversity as the dishes are from all over India.
- The scenery and views from hostels are very beautiful and the hostel commodities themselves are very good.
Dislikes
- The mess food is a little on the bad side but sufficient food is provided.
- The inhouse cooking rules are very bad as you cannot cook food inside your room.
- The crowd in vit is very high and it is like a city in its own
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for the first sem is just basic physics, maths and python. From the second sem students can choose courses according to their preferences and interests. The class timings are very good and give the students time for themselves throughout the day.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like microsoft and nvidia come to the college for internships. The college provides projects for students to build to enhance their practical knowledge. Many internal hackathons are also organised for the students to participate.
Placement Experience
The placements are average and the highset package is 1cpa+. From 7th semester students become eligible for placements and there are different internship oppurtunities available from 4th semester. The average package is around 9lpa and there is around 99% placement. After getting the degree there are many opputunities available in the industry we can go for.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid 4,95,000 for one years. The fees is comparitively higher than other colleges. Other categories have lesser fees. According to merit cum need they provide different levels of scholarships and many different financial aid plans are there.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good in vit as it provides many different activites and events which are happening almost everyday. Many tournaments also take place in vit which enable students to participate in many events. The are over 160 clubs in vit which allows students to do co curricular activities based on their interests.
Hostel Facilities
Their are different types of rooms available in the hostels. The rooms are spacious and have ample space to accomodate the students. Almirahs are given for each student to store their personal items. The mess food is a little on the bad side but it is managable.
Admission
I chose VIT as it has a name throughout the country and is one of the best private colleges in India. It has a vast no. of courses and different departments which will help students in pursuing their careers.
Faculty
The faculty are all very experienced proffesors and have good teaching methods. The faculty to student relationship is very good as the faculty is always available to help their students. Some faculty are not good as their teaching methods are old and they are narrow minded. There are 3 different exams in a semester which incluse CAT1, CAT2(Open book) and FAT. Exams are usually set in a medium level and can easily get good cgpa if studied enough.
