Yes. It provides an internship. To receive college credit for an internship, students have guidelines on how many hours they must participate in the internship throughout the semester. Students work with either the office of their specific major or the general campus career center to learn about and receive internship credit. The specific department within their major or the career center requires the employer to fill out paperwork beforehand that explains the role and responsibilities of the intern at the sponsoring company. The school also requires one or two evaluations to take place throughout the internship. Also, the sponsoring manager needs to fill out paperwork regarding the student’s performance and specifically detail the new skills acquired.

Yeah, placements the reason most people join Gitam is for its placements I joined for the same. Gitam gets a lot of companies for placements using its influential people and political strengths. Whatever the reason may be you have a sure shot of getting a job easily unless you are really bad like you don't even know English. Otherwise, you will manage to get into any of the mass recruiting companies like TCS, Accenture, etc. They offer a mere package of 3.5 lakhs per annum. There are a lot of other companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, etc. Who take fewer people but give really good packages of upto 10lakhs per annum. It depends on your talent and a fair amount on your luck.

College fests are a memorable part of our lives where extravagant decorations, sizzling celebrities/ stars and most importantly many, fun-driven events add to the flavor. Most colleges stick to a similar list of events thereby making the fest quite monotonous and stereotypical. Every year there is having an event in Gitam campus in Visakhapatnam.

I passed out(2012) from Gitam university Vizag after 4yrs of engineering in the IT branch. I am going, to be honest with you, I will not tell you if you should join or not but I will try to make this decision easy for you. So, I want to start by saying that I joined Gitam university because I had no other option as didn't do well in my EAMCET or AIEEE due to my health conditions. I thought Gitam was the best of all other choices I had which you might have known by now are not so many. I really liked college. You will too it has a really good atmosphere with walkways having trees on both sides and huge lawns which are too peaceful and best infrastructure in the state. However, you just don't want to join a college for its looks. I took IT not because I like it, I didn't even know what it is. I hope you do please know about the branch you are taking, the things you learn and make sure you can go through them. I wish someone has given me this advice.

Playground: a really big playground to play football or cricket or volleyball etc.. The hostels of Gitam are above average for rooms and average for food but excellent for an experience you cherish your whole life. It is a great place to live but some people find it expensive. I did too, my family is middle class so it was a bit hard for me to pay the bill of 7000/- every month. There are a lot of hostels and they have changed the pattern of issuing them to people every year and I don't know what they follow now. But almost all of them are fine. The food is as I said average can't be compared to your home food as well as its not crap, the breakfast and lunch are really good but the dinner sucked and snacks are manageable.

Each semester is having 2 mid exams of 10 marks each. A final exam that is end semester exam is having 70 marks. 5 marks for Assignments and 5 marks for Attendance. Those who have having more than 90% attendance they get full 5 marks

First, we have to fill the application form and pay online money. After nearly 15 days we have to give an exam at the respective center. There are so many centers available for exams (mine is in Patna). After you pass in the exam, they call for admission purposes and prepare a Cheque for tuition fees.

Good and excellent and highly educated faculties with a good paper publication. All faculties are having Ph.D. degrees with more than 3 years of experience. Even the program is having good experience in handling labs.
