Galgotias college of engineering and technology, GREATER NOIDA is a good college in terms of life and placements. But if you want to succeed you have to work yourself, learn yourself, u will have guidance though but you need to be self motivated.

Entrance Exam, Merit List

Honestly, the course curriculum in AKTU is good but a little bit old. First year subjects are the same for all branches which involve teaching subjects from the school and all branches of engineering. Then you get your core subjects. Although our curriculum is being upgraded day by day

Yes, it provides internship offers from companies. And also training for technologies in different areas. I have not done any internship yet but I have heard that it was not a paid internship. You have to take care of it.

Our college does emphasize on placement a lot. We are provided with trainers and mentors for preparing us for interviews. Although the pay scale from these companies is not that high. But the ratio of placement is good.

A lot of events take place in our college. Cultural, technical as well as sports. Sports tournaments are held in college open for all colleges and some just for aktu. Cultural and technical fests are held by college clubs. An annual cultural fest is a grand event that involves a star night, DJ night, etc.

The fee structure of Galgotias is somewhat average but inclining towards feasible. It's around 120000 per annum which is a fine amount for a private engineering college. And this includes the tuition fee and exam fee.

Yes there's a scholarship provided by U. P. Government to all state government universities. If you are a resident of U. P. and parent's income is less than 200000 you can apply for it which if granted returns your half fees

There are a lot of extracurricular activities in college. It has a literary club, technical society, marketing and management club, drama club, art club, gaming club, coding club, and the departmental club as well. Labs are set up for all branches. It has a basketball and badminton court. The playground is not that good for football.

Galgotias provides a hostel for both boys and girls. Boys hostel is big and well spaced. It has a badminton court and a gym including good machines and weights but it does not have any A. C. or cooler for summer. Girls hostel have A. C rooms. But the food mess is not good at all.

The alumni network is not really good for us. But senior students are very helpful and guiding to our juniors. They always try to keep us updated about new technologies and tell us to prepare for things when there's time so that we don't make any mistakes that they did.

Exam structure in all Aktu colleges is the same. We have two sessional exams conducted by the college itself and marked as well, these include half of the complete course in both exams. Then there's a pre University test which includes all the syllabus and then the final semester exam conducted and marked by University.

The first step was filling the form for UPSEEE which is the form of entrance exam for Aktu. Next based on your score you get a rank. Now you have to submit a list of colleges in your priority order for counseling. Then based on your rank you will be alloted a college as per your eligibility and priority. Then after document verification, you are admitted.

The faculty of the college is a mixture of both good and bad. Some teachers are really good. On the other hand, some are not up to par. They just want to drag the course and complete the syllabus any means possible.
