A College for Social Development

Overall our College doesn't provide any sort of Placements but the Teaching facility and the College events are really encouraging. It would have been better if our College could have managed to get at least Internships for its students.

Merit List

I opted for a Bachelor's of Business Administration (BBA) because I want to go for MBA and become an entrepreneur in the future. The course duration is 3 years which is divided into 6 semesters. Each semester there's an exam conducted by College and University each. My opinion - I like the pattern of the curriculum as the structure of the curriculum is very simple and there is not much strictness on the Attendance part and emphasis in put more on College events and Sports.

Our College doesn't provide any sort of Internship. If the students are willing to get Internships to learn new skills and want to improve their profile for the Corporate world, students themselves have to manage to get Internships. Our college has to make Summer Training in any manufacturing unit mandatory for BBA students after the second year before selecting their specialisation.

As Surat is a city made for business, there are no Corporate offices and opportunities here. So college doesn't provide any Placement opportunity after Graduation, the student himself/herself has to find an opportunity or else opt for Post Graduation or any Professional course.

The most popular event of South Gujarat - Inferno is organized in our college every year in January end. Students are super enthusiastic to become a member of organizing a team for this event. Even students of all over the city and Youth visit and participate on a large scale in this event. Also, there is an event 'WOW - War of Worlds' which is organized for First year students every year as they join the college. Apart from Fresher's party, the Annual Function and Farewell party is organized like every other college.

The fee structure is very nominal looking at the Brand Image of the College and the popularity of the College. For BBA which I am pursuing is not more than 30,000 INR a month which is very affordable.

There is only a Government scholarship provided to VNSGU students whose parents household Income is equal to or less than Rs. 3,00,000/- per annum. The scholarship amount for students eligible for Scholarships is Rs. 10,000 annually irrespective of the course they've opted for.

Extracurricular activities like Sports are excellent in our college. A lot of emphases are given on Sports by the faculties and students are highly motivated and self-driven to participate in Sports. The only Computer lab is available in the college which is also very rarely visited by BBA students. It is only made for BCA students.

There is no Hostel owned by our college or any Hostel which is partnered with our college. As our College is not recognized nationally or even not outside the city, most of the Students are Surat based only and so the need for a Hostel doesn't really exist. Few of the students who are not from Surat manage Accommodation on their own.

Alumni Network is not so good as there is rarely any event like Alumni meet or something similar happens and only a few successful Alumnus are sometimes called for a speech. Overall the students remain connected to the college till their Graduation only.

The exam is taken twice a year (once a semester) by the University (Veer Narmad South Gujarat University - VNSGU) from which our college is affiliated. Prior to a month to university exam, an Internal Exam is taken by the college which is like prelims to make us well prepared for the main University exam.

The Admission process is carried out by the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) from which our college is affiliated to. So I applied on VNSGU's website and VNSGU allocates the college's to the students according to cut off of different colleges in different rounds. So I got the admission in this College in the Third round.

All the faculties are highly qualified. Most of the faculties have completed the Masters and Ph.D. in their respective subjects and some of them are currently pursuing their Ph.D.'s. Apart from Qualification, all the faculties try to maintain personal contact with maximum no. of students and push students to participate in college events and Industrial visits.
