My engineering life

I have both aspects. Positive: They were helpful during academics, including our HOD all our professors. Negative: Recently, I've visited my college to help students regarding academic projects (major or minor).

Entrance Exam

It is the best course of mine. We can take the best out of it if one works hard. But, we jumped in this course without knowing about software jobs recession in the market. We are not lucky in this perspective.

No Internship. Because, it is a newly established College, and never experienced such thing until now. I started my career in 2015 in the technical field. Passed out engineering in 2012 then joined a Master degree for better opportunities.

We are the pilot batch of Anurag Engineering College (2008 Estd.), we are short of placements or job opportunities. However, as we are part of Anurag Group of Institutions, we had a few jobs and a few of us got selected from our campus. Hope, they provide more job opportunities now.

Though it is new college, we had number of events to refresh our minds. Sports twice a year, Annual day every year. Our batch took initiative and proposed "Nationa Level Fest" in front of college management.

It wasn't much expensive though because I was admitted under Govt. Quota. We have got such good management and Government, as we got paid in return. I have used such money to pay my college infrastructure/building fee or etc.

I never know about loan or scholarship facility, as I never used it or didn't think of this option. My parents were good enough to pay perks as I need. But, I remember my friend who had a study loan.

I say this college is meant for sports or extra activities. Physical Trainer determined our talents and introduced us to National Sports Meet held all-round our Country. They have well equipped Labs like Computers, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil.

There is no Hostel facility from our college. If they have it now, I hope it would be pretty good, as management is the same. No idea, if they have it now. But Cafeteria was clean those days, so Hostel guys would have preferred cafeteria food.

We are a pilot batch in Anurag and no seniors to get help. But, while I was at Annamachary College, I received a lot of help though they ragged me. They were in contact with me when I switched to Anurag in terms of materials or academic doubts.

No specific structure, same as other colleges. We experienced a few hurdles like attendance shortage, exam fee due, college fee. I say, our batch students are really lucky because the jumbling system implemented post to our batch.

I never knew this college exist until 3rd phase of counselling in the year, 2008. I was admitted in IT Dept. In Annamachary engineering college during 1st phase, later to upgrade to CSE, I tried online counselling (implemented for the first time and continues) and started my journey in ANURAG and lead life.

Faculty: Yes, we had a few well-experienced and P.hd professionals. Our Dept. HEAD is from the USA and has good teaching experience. But, a few of them are just B-tech passed out Professors. They are not acquainted with the subject, though they teach us the subject.
