You are all by your own in this college

It is just that college provides a lot of leniencies which gives students to explore and do whatever they like to do. Classes are not very compulsory. No strict actions are taken on missing classes. So it is a place of self built stars. It's up to you how you utilize your time.

Entrance Exam

The course curriculum is as per AKTU. Mostly local writers are referred for studying purpose and the syllabus is also the index of such a book. The course mostly covers the core subjects and topics of the gate.

This college does not provide an internship. There are some workshops on technologies by some private institutes but in 2 days workshop they hardly teach anything and they mostly come to advertise their training Institute so that students join that in holidays or vacations.

Placements are limited to CS/IT branches only. Companies do not visit for any other branch. The packages are not very high. On campus, it is almost nill. But as this college is a place of self made stars people do wonders in off campus placement.

There are many councils like the cultural sub council which organizes 2 events in a year "Abhinandan" that is the farewell where the first year buddies get a chance to showcase their talent. The other event is utsav in which all years can participate and compete. There are other councils d events such as LSC, FAH, Sports sub council which conduct various events with suitable prizes and goodies for the winners.

The fee structure is very nominal. The fee including hostel accommodation and mess food is approximately 80000 per year for a student. The fee is very less compared to private colleges and so it does reflect in the facilities.

The college does not offer any scholarship. Under the government scheme Samaj Kalyan gives some scholarships to students who have their parents income less than 1 lac per annum. The college claims to give some amount to toppers which they may or may not receive due to the slow college process.

There is a large ground in the college called the central playground. All the sports are played there. A new wooden country for badminton and basketball is also made. The labs are not very proficient and mainly students don't work in the lab. They are just average.

The hostel infrastructure is not so good. The washrooms are horrible and sometimes even dirtier than the railway station waiting room washrooms. However, we get a chance to stay in single rooms after the first year but the room sizes are vey small so it creates a very much problem in the first year.

The alumni are in good positions and are always ready to help. They always extend their helping hand while they are in college and also when they establish good positions in the company. It has been 4 years and I have never bought a single course book because we get it all from our seniors.

Exams happen at the end of the semester once. There are enormous seating plans to avoid cheating. The class test is held in the middle of the sems twice or sometimes thrice. The checked semester exam copies are not shown and whatever marks we get that have to be accepted.

I got admission through the rank I secured in the UPSEE exam. The exam has the same syllabus as IIT JEE though the level is far easier. The counseling is then done online. There are several rounds of counseling.

Like any other government college sometimes the faculties and staff do not cooperate with the students. However, every coin has 2 sides so some of the faculties are good also. Some teach well while some may not come to the class throughout the sems and eventually students learn to teach themselves and become more independent.
