Amu the heaven

I think we have to study more practically other than studying byheart every literatures. It will improve our efficiency and we can understand why we are studying this course. Teaching method should improve in some aspects . Referring a book and studying just like that book should be removed. Teachers have to prepare theirselves and should change syllabus according to their preference.

Our Physics department doesn't provide internships. But many other departments provide internships. And students students are getting placements where they done internships and in other companies too. If you are a data science student, you can get internship at companies under kingfra and will get job there too. The salary will start from 30000 rs per month

Students are eligible to apply for campus placements from final year. And they will get internship from the final semester. The Training and Placement Office of AMU is renowned for offering students lectures on career enhancement and campus placements all over the world. There are many companies offering placements in AMU like TATA. About 30 percentage students are getting placements every year. I plan to study for PHD after my degree here.

For taking admission, that is,the academic fees for first year for me was 10955. This fees is only applicable to female resident students who are externals(completed degree from other university) .If you are a female resident student who are internal there will be a decrease of 450 rs (10505). For Nonresident female students fees is less(8805 for external and 8455 for internal). If you are a male fees is more compared to female students. For male resident ,external student fees is 11855 and internal student fees is 10505. For male nonresident, external student fees is 9705 and internal student fees is 8455. For the second year(final year) ,every student has an academic fees of 7045 rs. There will be an increase or decrease of 1000 rs for each batch. In case of hostel admission students have to pay 6000 for getting admitted. This is for 4 months. That is,1500 for each month. It is actually dining and laundry fees. There are no additional fees other than this for lab and other activities

The main festival of AMU is Sir Syed day ( birthday of founder). It is really a happy environment on that day. And university conducts hall week for every hostels which will include sports,arts,fasion show and end with a dinner. There are many clubs like swimming club,skating club,horse riding club ,etc. The physical education department also conducts football,cricket, badminton, etc for all students.

Hostels are home. We don't get homesickness. Our hostel has 600 rooms. For first year pg students, it is 4 seater and final year students ,it is 3 seater . If you are a phd student, it is 2 seater and 3 seater for mbbs and bds students. Each student will get a big cupboard ,table ,bed and chair. Each room has 4 plug points ,3 lights ,2 fans and 4 cupboards. The meal quality of hostel is excellent. There is a timetable for menu. We will get non veg for 3 days in a week and sweat in one day. Registration process is little hectic. We have to see warden,provost and after that room will be alloted. Hostel fees is really affordable which include only mess fees and laundry fees (1500 per month). There are timings for girls hostel. 6 am -6:30pm generally and 6 am to 5:30 pm at winter. Parents can visit at any day

I applied to many central universities and other affiliated colleges. My first preference was Amu. I applied for University of hyderabad , pondicheri university, mahatma gandhi university kottayam, calicut university, kerala university and affiliated colleges under calicut university, mahatma gandhi university kottayam and kerala university. I got admission in every Universities I applied. But i preferred Amu due to its famous professors and stress free environment

All the faculties are really friendly comparing to the faculties of other central universities. I really like all our teachers. They are best in their on field and we can approach them for any doubts. In the case of exam ,each subject has a mark of 100 out of which 30 marks is from sessionals (internal exams,there will be to two sessionals with an average mark of 30) and 70 marks is from final exam. In case of labe 40 marks will be from the viva of each experiments and 60 from practical exam.
