Merits and demerits

Maintaining a 75% attendance as per university rules is mandatory. Many other colleges are not strict in terms of attendance. If you don't maintain attendance above 50% you will be debarred from attending the internal examination and have to face severe consequences. The college has 6 floors but doesn't let its students use the lift. And self finance classes mostly happen on the 5th/6th floor. The canteen is also very small and the contractor keeps on changing, the menu is very restricted. Anyways you have quite a few options for eateries outside the college.

Merit List

BMS is a mixture of everything. Especially if you see yourself as an entrepreneur, then BMS is the right choice. The exam structure is 75+25. 75 marks for external exam and 25 marks split in 20 for internal examination and 5marks for attendance, project submission, behavior, etc.

Placements and internships are provided, but they don't offer a good package /stipend. You mostly have a sales job or a data entry internship which doesn't provide you much exposure. The stipend is around 3000rs. Job packages go up to 3lakhs per annum

There are two main fests in the college they are'Fantasies' and 'Disha'. Fantasies are the annual cultural fest that happens on a large scale and many newspapers also cover the event. Disha is a career guidance fest, it happens around in the month of September and fantasies happen at the end of January. Apart from these we also have departmental fests. Rotaract club is also there, I have been a part of the rotaract for the past two years. It is one of the best platforms to build contacts.

Feasible. For courses like bcom, the fees are very less around 2k and for girls, it is around 800rs. For self financing courses like BMS, BAF, BFM, BBI, etc. The fee structure ranges from 22k-26k per annum. Scholarships are available for deserving and economically backward candidates.

I haven't availed any. But there are many scholarships available for the deserving candidates. There are scholarships offered by the government as well as from SIES. You have scholarships based on your overall performance, subject wise performance and extracurriculars. EWS candidates also have separate scholarships.

The college doesn't have its own ground so it is not for a person looking at sports carrier. There is an active NCC and NSS unit present in college. Computer labs, libraries, etc are available. There is no area for indoor games. A small auditorium is also there which can accommodate around 120-130 people. The infrastructure of the auditorium is poor.

Yes. They are always available whenever we need them and cheerfully they solve all our related queries. Ex teachers are also very helpful, there are junior-senior bonding sessions also which help in bonding with seniors.

The BMS faculty is superb. We mostly have young teachers in our department who understand the students very well. Apart from BMS other faculties are also too good as I know a few of them from other courses.
