Struggling to survive

The curriculum needs improvement. It isn't changed as per the student eligibilities.The syllabus is actually vast and they are making us to carry this huge burden in our head.Till 2022 the year system was been followed but now semester system is practised. They are making us to learn those 1 year topics within 6 months and to pass the exams.

Internship opportunity is availzble for us.After the 7 th semester we have an Internship in 8th sem which lasts for 6 months followed by a bond if needed .The bond is available for 1 year followed by graduation

Annual fee of rupees 21000 is being paid . At the time of admission we need to pay about 1000 rupees as caution fees and around 4500 rupees as college union registration fees. Hostel fees ranges from 4500 to 4980

Campus life is very boring. Go be honest there is only 3to 4 programmes in a year including Christmas and onam celebration. There is no celebrations or programmes apart from this . Only academics matters here nothing else. Even for these programmes there would be 1000s of restrictions and norms.

Hostel is provided by the college .The food actually sucks????.There is no salt only spiciness and sour taste nothing else . Vegetables in curry is given in the same raw form .But mess fee is charged as rupees 115 per day . The room is quite spacious with accommodation facilities for 3 students . There seperate hostels for boys and girls.

Based on the other government Nursing College's Kottayam is been ranked as second in academics followed by trivandrum and alappuzha. The faculty service was very good in kozhikode Nursing college .But due to long distance issues I choose Kottayam.

There are two sessional exams and a model practical plus theory examsfollowed by university exams .University exam comprises of a theory and a practical exam.The internal marks are being assessed for permitting student eligibility for attending the University exams.
