Yes this college is not anywhere close to a top nit or iit, but its reaching closer and closer. Even an iit was once an moderate college. The faculty and academics should improve here. But there are many good things here. The best being its lush green cam

I cracked the IIT JEE mains exam. I got a score of 136 marks. But because of my low board percentile (83), my rank was rushed down to 96000. i didn't opt for this college. It was practically my only choice. I didn't want to spend 16 laks of my parents money on a private college. So when i got a confirmation that i have been allocated this college by the csab i was very happy as the fees in this college is just rs eighty thousand, including hostel for four years. after all atleast it is a central government university.

The faculty here is not very impressive. it doesn't follow the central university standards. But some of my banaras friends say that even bhu was just the same before it was converted to an iit. The course curriculum is divides into 8 semesters, for 4 years. There are regular class tests and mid semester exams. The standard of the paper is moderate. It can range from very easy in some subjects to a bit difficult in others. the laboratories are not that well equipped. Most of the experiments that you perform here of high school level. One good thing about machines is that, in this entire country, ours is the only college which has its own particle accelerator. That in itself is one the biggest achievements of this college.

I haven't been up for internship yet. So i can't really explain a lot. But my seniors did go for some internships in some good companies. Some even went to foreign institutions for their internship. Rest of them had made their two months count by being an intern with sail, ntpc, nhpc, coal india, tata etc.

The placement wasn't very good up to last year, mainly due a neglecting staff. But this year there has been a lot of improvement, due to the change in the vice chancellor. Companies have been giving an annual package of around 12 laks to my seniors which might be 12 times more than last year. So there might a good future ahead.

There are many events celebrated in the sprawling 900 acre campus from independence day to freshers party. The only flaw is that while there is a freshers party for every other department in our university, there isn't one for btech. Since the staff quarters are inside the campus, so all the festivals are celebrated equally.

The fee structure is very minimal. Since it is a central government university, one could easily believe that. The fee every year is just rs 20 thousand which includes the hostel fees in terms of saving your money for a decent education, this is probably the best college in india.

I dont think there is a requirement for any kind of scholarship when the fee structure is so less. But in case you still find a need for loan, then you can avail them by any of the banks inside our college, sbi, boi or pnb.

The campus is probably the best thing about this college. One can get up in the morning ang go for a nice walk in this huge green campus. because of so many trees, there are many wild animals and reptiles ranging for wild pigs to anacondas. But they never really harm you if you be a good sport to them. Robotics department is very good. Every year the techfest is organised where many students take part. Sports facility is also good. there are fields for football, basketball, tennis khokho etc. Then there is a separate space for indoor games like swimming, table tennis and carrom, labs aren't very well equipped and dont match the standards. There are strict laws in the campus when it comes to teasing girls. It just cant be tolerated.

I don't think the mess food needs any description. Its like every other mess food in this country the monthly rate of mess is around rs 1800-2000. They provide you daal, chawal and a sabji every meal time, with salads and occasional chutney. every wednesd

I haven't been in touch with any alumini. But i have been in touch some of my seniors who have preparing for gate, gre and cat exams. They have been working hard and inspiring and motivating us to work hard. I personally have performed many experiments including robotics under their supervision and they been of great help.
