Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum at vellore institute of technology is generally regarded as relevant industry loved and moderately copmprehensive. Industry oriented courses , flexible credit system, multidisciplinary apporach.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees i will be paying will be 6 lacs. Tuition fees is 4 lacs caution fees 3000/-,admission fees is 10000/-, registration fees is 1000/-, lab fees, this is generally included in the tuition fees, and other charges include development fees which may vary each year, but is the part of annual fees. There are several more categories in VIT namely category 1,2,3,4,5. I come in category 3. In category 1 the yearly fees is 4 lacs, in category 2 its 5 lacs, in category 3 as i have already mentioned it is 6 lacs, in category 4 the fees 6.5 lacs and in category 5 its 7 lacs. There are also scholarship programs in VIT. Firstly, Merit based scholarship in which topper of state boards and central board toppers are eligible for 100%tuition fee waiver for all four years. vit rank 1-50 get 75% scholarship. VIT rank 51-100 get 50% scholarship, and vit rank 101-1000 get 25% scholarship.
Campus Life
My experience with campus life at VIT vellore has been vibrant socially engaging and full of opportunities tro explore both acadmeic and extracurricular interests. The campus offers a mix of cultural events technical fests clubs sports facilites and modern infrastructure.
Admission
i applied to BITS pilani, . manipal institute of technology i got confirmed admuission from manipal institute of technology. Ultimately chose VIt because of its infrastructure, diversity, placement record, etc..
Faculty
Our faculty is very helpful and very intelligent with many of them having pHDs in their fields.The faculty to student ratio is generally around 1:15 which is decent for ensuring that students can get some level of individual attention.Faculty members at VIT are moslty approachable and supportive, especially when it comes to academic help like assignments and projects.There are 3 exams in a semester CAT-1,2 and FAT. IN this cat-1,2 are mid sem exams and fat is end sem exam. They are not much difficult if one has studied a decent amount of time using proper notes and solving specifc reference books
