Likes
- VIT Bhopal has a good placement record, with top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and TCS visiting the campus. In VIT Bhopal, academics are prioritized and faculty is nice. VIT Bhopal has huge and lush green campus.
- Hostels are very good which provides gym, AC/NAC rooms, single or sharing room based on one's own preference, sports area, clean washrooms, room cleaning services, laundry services, courier services and supermarket.
- Academic block and hostels of VIT Bhopal is equipped with Wi-Fi enabled and each student can connect any two devices at a time. Hostel consist of Anti-Ragging policy where no seniors or batchmates are allowed to do ragging of anyone.
Dislikes
- Even after having such a huge campus, VIT needs to be improved by expanding the library and adding air conditioning to labs and library.
- Though supermarket is available all the time but products are very expensive here that is almost double the prices of the product.
- In VIT Bhopal hostel, you dont get to choose your roommate as they themselves allot it to you. sometimes its disturbing when roommates don't sleep early and make noises whole night.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen BTECH IN CYBER SECURITY AND DIGITAL FORENSICS as I always fascinated about it. curriculum prepares me for real world applications by doing activities like doing case studies, debates, researches etc. though I like my course but it needs to be improved in sense like there is no reason of learning calculus and electric circuit system in forensic science course so it sould be limited. mid semester are conducted in november and term end in july and being an engineering college, lever of difficulty is very high.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total Tution Fee paid for first year is INR 3,97,270/- Tution fees per annum: INR 2,32,000/- Caution Deposit: INR 3,000/- Hostel Fees: INR 70,560/- Hostel caution deposit: INR 15,000/- Mess Charges: INR 76,700/- Almost of my bachmates have same fee structure as mine. but exceptionally my friends who have opted for other courses differ with a range of INR 10,000/- to INR 20,000/- Sclolarships are based on VITEEE (entrance exam for VIT) ranking.
Campus Life
all the festivals are celebrated by different clubs like Ganesh Chaturthi by Marathi club, Navratri by Gujrati club etc. adVITya is the annual fest of VIT. technical festivals like orientation programs, conferences, interdisciplinary events, exhibitions etc. happen offenly at VIT Bhopal. range and accessibility of books and novels are very less in library of VIT Bhopal. facilities and technologies are good in classroom, including projectors, comfortable benches, tables and charging point on walls. extracurricular activities include lots of activities like to participate in events, games or if you join sny club you can conduct programs also.
Admission
I had applied only for Vellore Institute Of Technology. As it had the exact course i was looking for. admission process start with applying for entrance exam that is VITEEE. based on your ranking you get to choose your course. if you get rank that is above 1,00,000. then you can only apply for VIT Bhopal and VIT Andhra Pradesh. eligibily for admission is 64% or above in 12th class. only VITEEE is accepted for admission.
Faculty
In VIT Bhopal, we get to choose our own faculty and our own timetable through FFCS. FFCS is conducter on fair bases according to your CGPA and you can even change your faculty every semester if you dont like any perticular proffesor. As I have chosen my own faculty, I like all of them. but mostly female faculties judge you on basis of dressings or hairstyles rather then teaching and then keep targeting that perticular student. exams are depended on semesters. there are mainly two semesters per year. mid term is of 50 marks which is later converted to 30. and end term is of 100 marks which is again converted to 30. 10 marks are for individual project and 10 marks for group project. 5 marks for attendence and remaining for internal assessment. internal assessment consist of tests, surprise test, tutorial, debates, courses and quiz.
