- Our college had old infrastructure in all of the departments,which was most fabulous things. It was constructed in British era around 1857.
- My department is having good condition of equipments for study purposes.
- College have huge library. Well maintained Grounds for sport. Campus have cricket training ground developed by GCA, Ahmedabad.
Dislikes
- College does have well canteen facilities.
- Garden is too small as per numbers of students studying in college.
- Development happening in old building which might fear that college will lose it's importance.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course lead us to have depth knowledge of microbiology. It describes how microorganisms really works ? Why there are important? And how we can manipulate them? Course have it's own parameters to get knowledge regarding Advancement in field of microbiology. More industrial based approaches should be added. So Students could gain knowledge regarding them. The frequency and timings of exam is very moderate , if you study well through the semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
B.sc. Microbiology - currently fees around 1300 per semester , and it's increasing per year Government Tution Fees- 600 Other Fees Laboratory Fees - 100 Other exams - 390 Students under SC/ST categories pay 700-800 per semester Girls categories pay 700-800 per semester Rest all students have to pay - 1300 All the government scholarship .
Campus Life
As I was not from technical field, I don't have much idea about technical events but I'm sure that college is lack of such events. When I talk of my department , our department organizes workshop , seminars , events like agar art competition for student welfare. My college encourage activities like sport, NCC units , NSS units . All festivals are celebrated in our college. There is less approach by all other departments.
Admission
When I have applied for Admission, it was only single place where we have to apply i.e. through University portal. In first I couldn't get this college due to less rank . University have different reservation quota for admission . As most of seats were for State board and I was from CBSE board. So I could not achieve seat in first round in this college. But in second round of admission I have managed to get it. And at right now admission procedure is totally different in our state. There is common portal for all courses and for all Universities. In which we have apply one once to get admission anywhere in Gujarat. Selection occurs based on merit , seat reserved as per particular University norms.
Faculty
All Faculties are supportive. Especially when we talk of Microbiology , it's one the best department of Microbiology in my state. It's just a home like environment over there. As per me Faculties from Microbiology department is just too appreciable. They have passion for their Field i.e Microbiology , They have always inspired and to achieve Heights in our field. Course Structure is as per GUJARAT UNIVERSITY norms. Exam is taken semester -wise. It consists of Mid sem exam and End Semester exam . It's of 30:70 ratios. In mid sem exams internal evaluation occurs which is based on 50:50 ratios i.e. written exams : attendance, assignment etc.
