- The Infrastucture is still improving. Some of the departments are good. Some are bad. Since it is a govt college things do take a lot of time
Course Curriculum Overview
i chose this course for the college. Curriculum is good and new courses are added to suit the industry demands. Also college hosts many workshops, seminars and clubs were one can learn a lot. So not only curriculum, one should explore all the college.
Placement Experience
For Campus Placements , Students are eligible from 7th sem. But for Internships from 5th sem. Around 70% get placed even in recession. Before 2023, almost 80-90% got placed from this college. Many of our seniors also get PPOs from their summer internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fee i paid was around 1,10,000 i get 2/3 rd fee remission because of income. For my batchmates they pay around 1,90,000 per year including hostel and all. So there are various scholarships. Also there is fee remission available for different categories based in caste and Income. Also for some categories they only have to pay the hostel and mess fees which is around 69000 per year
Campus Life
The campus always has one or another event. Many competetions, conferences, hackathons, quiz battles, dance battles, dramatics . Something is always there here. SPARSH is the annual cultural fest and MINDBEND is the annual technical fest. Apart from this departmental and club- fests like LAC' LitFest(Literature Festival), KASHISH(Fresher's Party), CHRD Mega Nights and other cultural activities always take place. Library is very big and has good amount of books. There are different clubs for different activity, Dance, Singing, Acting, Debating and also Student Chapters like DRISHTI, Phoenix Racing & AERO, GDSC, ACM, NEXUS.
Hostel Facilities
we are given a room with a bed, study table and fan and almirah. Most of the people get double seated rooms. For every floor there is a s study room. Mess food is mostly vegetarian . Food taste is quite average.
Admission
I chose this college because it is an NIT and it is located in Gujarat . as my course is mechanical engineering this is one of the best place to be to get a good job in that area. I got admission through JEE the other options i had were mech/chem/civil in NITs like VNIT,MANIT, MNIT, NIT Calicut. they were similar but not the branch of my choice.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is around 1:20 or more. Faculty of my department are very chill and approachable. Some are strict. most of them are very friendly. Every sem we have have exams . (midsems, class tests, end sems). Some courses are easy and if someone is studying regularly and listening to classes, the student can get very good CGPA.
