All about NIT JSR

Course curriculum of NIT jsr is flexible for all the students to get into the field they like there no academic pressure at all but there are few subjects like bio and evs which are the part of syllabus for 1st year studens. According to me there's no need of these subjects in the curriculum as they don't add up to technical skills.

there are a lot of internship opportunities provided by a large no. of companies be it tech companies like tcs, atlassian, amazon, hlc, quolcomm, etc or be it core companies like vedanta, tata steel, tata power, l&T etc

Placements are top notch for all branches CSE avg is 26lpa, ECE avg is 24 lpa, and all the core branches have 100% placement with about 10 lpa avg package. You get intership opportunity from 3rd year and fron 1st as well ( depends on you skills). Jamshedpur is an industrial area so you get companies like tata ,l&t, Adani groups etc for core branches.

year wise fees include tution fees of both the semester which is 64000 each for non reserved category and mess + hostel fees 18000+ 15000 respectively for each sem. For reserves category you can opt for fee remission of 2/3 of the total tution fees for ews studens and there will be 0 tution fees for st sc category students. there are alot of scholarship programs offered by large companies and the institution as well for like tata, l&T ekalyan scholarship etc. moreover you can get a scholarship of rs 80000/ year if make a place into the top 3 of your batch in academics.

Overall the institution is good so much more than what Nirf ranking describes. you get a hell lot of opportunities here be it any club or any sports. there is rule for every student to address there seniors as Sir and Ma'am. which maintains a decorum. most importantly there's no ragging so its a relief for all the freashers. We have sports fesr URJA, tech fest OJAS, And cultural fests as well. There are cafeterias for students, Computer centers are also provided in the campus for students to use it for there technical use.

Infrastruncture of Hostels are average hostels are avg. specially for first year you get double accommodation and from second year you get single rooms for each student which are quite good as compared to other colleges. It is mandatory for 1st year students to live in the hostel for the 1st year. Quality of Mess food isn't consistent here but its not that bad too. there are so many varieties of food provided daily.

I chose nit jsr over other nits which I was getting because of its placement records which are much much higher (100% placed for core branches) as compared to other colleges. Secondly, The clubs are superactive here so you can improve your skills in different field as well. To get admission here we have to clear jee main exam folooowed by josaa counselling where you get your seats alloted according to you rank.

Faculty members are very friendly. They also provide phd students to clear our doubt any time. we have two exams per semester which is mid sem ( 30 marks ) and end sem ( 50) marks and the rest 20 marks is given on the basis of labs and practicals. difficulty level of the exams are moderate to difficult level as papers are prepared by experienced faculty members of each department.
