We pay too much money for MSc statistics and computing and got very less, authority doesn't appoint good teachers to teach here in DST cims, this department is running only on the name of the banaras Hindu university

The course curriculum is good and syllabus is also good but some applied topic is taught very bad way but some core subjects are taught very well, maybe that is because there are not so much teacher of applied

When this center DST-cims of bhu started a lot of companies came to take student, but after poor performance of this department there are a very low number of companies came for placement, and packages are very low, professor also recommend to study further because it is better to do Ph.D. rather than getting 20k-25k per month job

A lot of events happen in BHU, a lots of seminars also happen but it is not compulsory to participate, some of the famous are Akanksha and time to time various professor come to give lectures, centers celebrate teachers day, independence day, and republic day

Fee is approx 43K every year for statistics and computing, and it is not feasible because there is a course of core statistics of BHU, and they teach the same thing same professor at about only 3-4K, so you will find it too expensive if you compare fees and you can't get any extra services our benefits for paying more money..... Professor pay more attention to core students

There is not any scholarship offered by BHU-DST-CIMS, however, one student got the scholarship from his previous college from where he undergraduates to do his masters, and there is a scholarship for from up government for students of poor families

You can join any sports you want we have a large stadium, you can play whatever you want and participate in any game of BHU, from squash to Kabbadi every department have a team. There is a swimming pool you can join, there is a gym you can join

Hostel is good and very affordable about 5-6K for a year and you get every facility in hostel such as canteen which is subsidized and mess with no boundation just pay ?40 and eat as much as you want, you can eat outside and you have not to pay for food that day, but rooms are very small and two persons in one room

Alumni are easily accessible and if junior wants they can invite alumni to give a speech on their experience, it totally depends on students, however, the department never calls alumni for the session that is a bad thing

Some faculty members are good, and some are just worse, non teaching staffs are not well mannered, whenever you go to office assistance he will talk to you very rudely that is not good, and a lot of time information are not shared well so you must need to be connected to everyone in class so that you can get update what is going on
