Remarks

The college is good if you have the talent and good marks in class 10 and 12 but if you don't have good marks, you really will struggle to be able to sit in placements as most of the companies demand 70% in class 12

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

All the subjects till 3rd year are core CSE subjects, in every semester, for each subject there are 2 quizzes of 5 marks each, 2 sessionals of 50 marks each(which are then converted to out of 15 marks during internal marks calculation), 5 marks for attendance and 5 marks for assignment totaling 50 marks internal and there is an end semester exam of 100 marks which is converted to remaining 50 marks

Placement Experience

3

Placements were decent for the batch 2015-19, firms such as Microsoft, Dell, Shell, Wells Fargo, Infosys, Wipro, Dxc technologies, Bosch, Idemia visited for campus recruitment along with pooled drives such as ThoughtWorks and TCS.

College Events

4

Till 2018, there were many cultural fests that were held in the college such as Vaastusasmitam, etc but now there are only 2 fests that happen mainly KAALRAV and a tech fest due to cost cutting measurements that are being taken by the management

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible for my time but now I find it on an expensive side, current fees for 2019 bath is as high as 4.5 lakhs per year totaling 18 lakhs for 4 years which is a bit too much provided that most students are hired by mass recruiters which pay 3.2-3.6 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides a 75% discount for the course to Sikkim students, along with that 10% discount to any immediate siblings of the current students or the alumni. previously the college also provided scholarships to students with more than 90% in PCM students till 2018 but now they have removed it

Campus Life

5

Computer labs, civil and mechanical workshops, gyms, cricket ground, swimming pools, night canteens and many more, volleyball ground, events during Kalrav, singing competitions, dance clubs such as Udaan, Smit model United Nations, etc

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel infrastructure is one of the best. And there are gyms, swimming pool tennis courts, squash, cricket ground. There are night canteen in each hostel from where you can buy homemade items/chips etc till 3:00 am which is very helpful during exam days

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very strong alumni network with people working in different organizations all over the world. Every year an alumni meet is held in a major metro city in India where many of the alumni come and the future of the college is discussed

Faculty

4

Some(very few) faculties are extremely talented rest is not so good. You have found your own way and explore the stream in which you are interested. Some teachers just demand research papers from you in the mini project so that their name can also be accommodated in it while some teachers like Sunil Dhimal really help you in the field that you want to make the project in

Placement Experience:

Placement is overall good here. Students from ece/eee are better placed than cse here. Here, companies like nvedia, apple has given the highest package. Previous year highest package is 55 lakh ,which had given to two students from eee branch. This year highest package is 35 lakh . Which is offered by two students. Now ,I am concluding all branch avg and placement percentage - Civil -70%placed Mechanical- 100% placed Eee-92% Ece-90% Cse/ai- 80% Overall -86% Average - 8.85 lpa Median-7.5 lpa Highest -35 lpa

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.
