Course Curriculum Overview

2

I had interest in studying the physiology of animals. So I took b.sc zoology( honours) course. The college should provide internships. Exams are held every year and the level of questions asked is very good.

Internships Opportunities

2

Colleges offer internships from 2nd year. We had internships at a medical lab. These are non paid internships. But they play a crucial role in our understanding of the subject. We performed various activities during our internship. We got to understand and perform PCR technology.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees per year is 5000-6000. Whole course will cost you around 15000 to 20000. There are merit based scholarships available in our college. Students who are not able to pay the fees can easily avail the scholarship.

Campus Life

2

There are not any annual festivals held in our college. Almost every book is available in the library. Sports competitions are organised in our college. No social groups, clubs are available. But cultural functions are held.

Admission

I did not apply for any other college. I only applied for this college as it is in my own city and close to my house. Admission is merit based here. You will get colleges based on your marks in 12th standard.

Faculty

3.5

In my class, there are approximately 100 students and there are 4 teachers. 2 for zoology, 1 for chemistry and 1 for botany. Faculty to students relationship is good. Teachers are helpful and they always solve the problems of students. They are easily approachable. One of my teachers is Dhiraj sir. He teaches us zoology and he is the head of zoology department. He is very experienced and his teaching skills are very good.

Placement Experience:

From the last year students become eligible for the compus placement. Many students get selected in the campus filed like sbi, airtel, Infosys, icici bank etc. The highest package reached around 5 lac and average around 2-3 lac per annum. 80 percent placement rates my plan after getting the honour degree to full the government exam on graduation level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall, I would rate the course curriculum as good and fairly comprehensive in terms of both relevance and coverage. It includes most of the important subjects required for building a strong foundation, and it gives a balanced mix of theory and practical learning. One of the main reasons I chose this course was the wide range of core subjects included in the syllabus. The curriculum covers fundamental topics as well as some advanced subjects, which made me feel that it would be useful both for jobs and for higher studies. The inclusion of projects, assignments, and case studies also influenced my decision, as they help in applying concepts in a practical way. In terms of real-world preparation, the curriculum prepares students reasonably well. Many subjects are directly related to industry requirements, and the project work helps in developing problem-solving and analytical skills. However, practical exposure can be improved further by adding more hands-on activities, live projects, and industry-oriented tools. For students who want to go for higher studies, the theoretical base provided by the course is quite helpful. There are a few areas where the curriculum and teaching methods can be improved. Some subjects have outdated topics which should be updated according to current industry trends. More focus can be given to practical training, internships, and skill-based courses. Teaching methods can also become more interactive by using more discussions, presentations, and real-life examples instead of only slide-based lectures. Regarding the exam system, the course follows a semester-based pattern. There are usually: Internal assessments like quizzes and assignments during the semester One end-semester exam at the end of each semester Exams are conducted twice a year, at the end of each semester. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate. If a student studies regularly and understands the concepts, clearing the exams is not very difficult. The questions are most
