Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is according to Mumbai university. We have 6 semesters pattern!. And for internal assessment, we get projects as we r from bmm. Then we also get one small internal test for those who haven't scored in projects.

Placement Experience

The placements and job opportunities are vast as many college campuses come in the college 2-3 times in the college. Which also includes companies in Forbes 500. and yes we get many internships offers from the college regarding our field of work

College Events

1- Saksham - this event is handled by the student council of the college. The event is open for all.! 2- expression - this event is organized by Bmm students! 3- food fest! For all departments! 4- diploma college has its own event 5- vivaxious is an event handled by the college faculty

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible!!! If the student can't pay the whole fees due to some issues he may request the college and pay in installments! And the reserved students also get a scholarship like for us Bmm students the fees are 17k but if you are from reserved categories the fee goes down to 400

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, there are many scholarships that can be availed! They offer all the scholarships offered by the government of Maharashtra. As well they have. Colleges own free ship which offer free accommodation and fee free studies for excellent students.

Campus Life

They are really good!! The college participates in all events in the region. And they do provide practice for it. They have good sports teachers. One example is Prithvi shaw he is from the colleges' academy

Hostel Facilities

No. The college has a hostel nearby which is fairly good. 5mins hardly from the college. I don't know much about the hostel as I have no friends there. And the hostel. Is not on my routine way to college

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes! They are really helped many students come to give a seminar as they are now well established in the market! They even guide as personally! The alumni are super friendly! Seniors are just one of us!

Faculty

The faculty of the college is good! Friendly when needed and strict where ever necessary. They have good knowledge and very very caring about the results of the students. Sometimes to subjects are shared between two faculties

the timings are great for students who wanna work while studying, but that only starts in the SY because in FY there are lectures from 10 to 1, that will give youll time to enjoy as a student, where as in SY n TY lectures will be from 7 to 9

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. KJ Somaiya College is a very huge college and has a perfect system of everything. Proud to be a student of this college. They have extra curricular activities cultural forum fests and much more.
