I chose this course because occupational therapy is improving ones quality of life.I chose this so that I can help people that struggle with their everyday living after an injury.our curriculum provides all the practical skills that can be applied in real life settings.we have patients at our own hospitals and we have postings at different departments.we also have PMR that is physical medicine and rehabilitation that is especially useful for occupational therapists.After the 1st 2 months of our sem we have our 1st internals exam,theory and practical,then again after 2 months we have 2 nd internals,that is also theory and practical.And after 2 months we have our semester exams.As a medical student who is studying occupational therapy exams are difficult ,we have so much to study and we give more importance on practicals.

For my course,I have 6 months of internship which can be done at our own college hospital.we also have internship opportunities outside of our hospital.we can go to other hospitals for internship but it is so helpful that we can do our internship in our own hospital which has so many patients and different settings inside the hospital.

At JSS medical college for Bachelors of occupational therapy, the year wise fees for me was 235000 per year.But for our juniors the fees has decreased a little bit and for our subjuniors also it has decreased.This is our tuition fee,apart from that, we have to pay extra for exam fee,bus fee,administration fee,medical fee etc but this will only comes between 5000 only.And if we are staying in hostels there is extra hostel fee which I don't know clearly, because most of us will be staying in outside pgs and rented rooms as it is more comfortable.There is no change in fee structure apart from NRI categories within my batchmates.

Every year have amoghotsava conducted by our college for us ,a batch wise programes will happen.we will have a theme .we have sports day every year continuing for 3 days.we have a big ground ,basketball court and also indoor stadium for other activities like badminton,tennis,.we have a big library at our college which is open for 24 hours for students to study filled with many books and journals that is necessary for students.

Apart from jss I applied to manipal university but I didn't get because my marks were not met.But my next option was jss because I have heard a lot about jss before from my friends and even some doctors also.Admission procedure was so easy for me.I contacted one of my senior and he did everything.Jss college certificate has good value so that after studies we will easily get jobs by the certificate value.my seniors have all got jobs after the completion of course.

The faculties in our college are so knowledgeable and so friendly to students.So that we won't be scared to any questions or doubts regarding any of topics.And also they are very knowledgeable with several degrees and experience.The faculty I liked the most in our department is Kshanaprava mam.she is very friendly and her way of teaching is also very nice so that we can understand easily.whenever we approach with doubts she will clear everything.Our syllabus is sem wise and we have 8 sems in total and 6 months internship that will be provided at our hospital only.1 sem is 6 months and we have 1st internals ,2nd internals and then our final semester exams.
