Course Curriculum Overview

3

I was determined to become a doctor which made me choose the course of MBBS. I really wanted to work for the masses and help save their lives. The curriculum for medicine in India is quite hectic as the course is too much and we have to complete in a short span of time. Mostly we have to do both Theory and clinicals to get a real world view of all the concepts and apply where it is required. The theory classes are passive lacking interaction, much of it like the traditional teaching method. So the teaching methods should be made more active involving debates, etc. The internals are held thrice with an interval of 2-3 months. The difficulty level is moderate according to me.

Fees and Financial Aid

So every year we need to pay ?10000 as tuition fees for the entire year. At the time of admission we need to pay a security amount of ?10000 which we get back once we complete our degree. Students from all the categories are to pay the same fees( I being from the General category). The locals of Andhra Pradesh can get the state scholarship if you contact the Academic section of the college. As for the AIQ students (I being one) need to apply for the National Scholarship. The College being a government institution offer very low fees compared to other institutions.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is pretty average as the college doesn't have it own ground which make us rent other gronds for hosting Sport's Days. The campus is cleany but small spreading in an area of approx 40 acres. We have College Day annually which is for about a month, generally in the month of September. The Library is fully accomplished with all journals and books. We have smart boards, projectors and the traditional black boards. Every lecture gallery is accomplished with Air conditioners. Sports opportunities are also average as we don't have our personal ground we have to rent other grounds which gets a bit expensive. Extracurricular activities are hosted 2-3 times yearly.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We get hostel rooms which is really very affordable. We live in two accommodation rooms with cupboards, windows and beds. As you go the final year of MBBS you get single accommodation rooms. We are not charged any electricity bills. The mess charges around ?4000 a month mostly having the South Indian foods which might not be liked by the North Indians. The registration process for the hostels are pretty very simple. The bathrooms are not that clean and the hostels also have water shortage quiet often.

Admission

I was allotted this college through NEET exam 2022. We have to do choice filling once we crack Neet. I got 603/720 with rank of 19379 in Neet 2022. I put this college at the no. 156 in my choices of college. I also applied for the state colleges(I am native to UP). I opted this college as if didn't have the bond system of giving services after completing MBBS which most other colleges have. I also got the State college but they were quite new established just in 2021, lacking the basic amenities which made me opt for this college. One of the most bad thing about getting admitted as a non local we can't go to home most often like the localities. We can go home only about 2-3 times in an year. This is surely a disadvantage for me and also for my fellow colleagues. The admission process was really smooth as the people here were really cooperative and I personally didn't get any difficulty during the procedures.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty though strict is very learned. All the professors are really qualified having atleast an MD degree in their particular field. They are very particular about attendance so you will need to have a minimum 75% in Theory and 80% in practicals to write the exams. So the students in each proff are about 120 and the faculty members are around 10-12. I really admire Dr. Sudhir sir of Physiology and Dr. Venkatraman sir of surgery. As for the exams, the internal exams are held thrice before the Final university exams. You need to necessarily pass 2 out of the 3 to be eligible to write the final exam. The exam standard is moderate and you can pass if you study well.

The curriculum that we follow us CBME curriculum. That reflects the clinical knowledge blended with the general knowledge of mbbs and this curriculum suits us in terms of many applications to the practice of medicine. The difficulty level is increased for the final exams but it is good for the competition that increased in these days.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1}the specific aspect that influenced my decision are my parent and relatives who hold the social stigma of being a doctor can give a secured life whereas nowadays doctor is one of the most vulnerable profession due to the incidents that are happening recently 2}the cirriculum is not great for students when it comes to the topic of facing real world situations as being in pvt.college doesnt exopse us to vasr amount of patients and mostly the graduates dont know how to deal with patients 3}the areas that should need an improvement is in imrpoving dissection hall facilities and posting lessers members in a sysytematic way to give time for each and every student a better exposure to the patients 4}the frequency of exams is adequate enough for an above avg student to cope up with the burdensome and vast syllabus but it might be diffucult for a below avg student and my perspective of the difficulty level is somewhat tough and stressful

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually MBBS is structured in such a way that it helps students step by step to learn.. it's anything but perfect .. I am not in a position to suggest but when we are exposed to this vast world in first year which is entirely new to us,it is difficult for us to adjust. We step by step start learning to accommodate in this new world and by the time we adjust and start reading first year comes to and end and then only running,we don't have time to atleast cover our basics so that we can continue for further 3 years.. basics when we aren't aware of we can't confidently go into next years syllabus, but if we try studying basics in the next year we will be again lagging the next year syllabus and cycle goes on.. Mental pressure is the most common that we all feel and for relieving we don't have anything,no cultural activity,no sports,nothing.. that is why many are getting on the wrong side and getting addicted to phone, movies, other addictions
