Decently ranked engineering college

The marking scheme here is a bit strict, which is a very negative point up here. The teachers are though very supportive otherwise, and helps alot. The infrastructure is very good, and well maintained.

The course curriculum is at par excellent and in sync with the curriculum of iit kanpur, covering all the major subjects along with additional value driven and HSS subjects. The exam structure is, it conducts the exams twice in any particular semester, in a gap of almost 2 months, namely mid-term and end-term. Along with this there are quizzes and projects to evaluate a student.

Since the college is an IT college, most of the placements occur in IT jobs, with an average package of CSE Stream being above 11L/Pa. Where as over all average stands at 7.2 Lpa. Highest package currently is 29 Lacks, being offered by amazon. In internships, college provides an internship program at Kazakhstan at Mittal industries, with a fre stay and food, though the air fare is borne by the students. Apart from this training is given to get internships and jobs, in summer times.

Almost every festival is celebrated in our college, with a decent ceremony according to the culture. Apart from these, we have students fest namely tech fest - PLINTH, Sports fest - DESPORTIVOS, Cultural fest - VIVACITY. APART FROM THESE, THERE are conferences, foundation day, and national importance days.

The fea structure is believed to be on the expensive side, bein 3.5 L/p.a for the current batch, which has a policy of a 10% annual increase. This includes the tution fees which is around 2.4 Lacks, mess fees - 25K, hostel fees 40K and other funds.

Scholarships are provided to students coming from bpl families. Otherway around meritorious students who maintain a CGPA over 9, gets a scholarship for the part of fees to be waived off. For the loans, the college has a facility, where banks issues loans, which is equivalent to the tution fees, disbursed every semester.

The college has 4 computer labs, 1 mechanical workshop, 2 physics lab, 3 electronics labs, and 4 labs for mechanical branch. In sports there are well maintained basketball, tennis, volleyball and badminton courts. There's a football and cricket ground too which are not that well maintained but are decent. We have college clubs for extra-curriculars, which are performing very well and probably the best thing in this college. They include photography, dance, drama, street play, media and pr, astronomy, quiz, literary comittee, singing, sports clubs and more.

Hostel infrastructure is good up here. The air conditioning system, cleanliness and the rooms are well built. Overall I would rate it 3.8/5. Every hostel has a reading room, and indoor sports room, TV room along with a common area.

The alumni network is very strong for the college, wherw alumni resides all over the world, for working as well as for higher studies in the best ranked universities. There are people working inn google and amazon which itself is a great thing.

The college has some very good facilities, holding PhD degrees, and they teach very well. Although there are few, who might have degrees but zero experience in teaching, and thus they just fail to deliver the knowledge they possess.
