Thr course curriculum of the computer science and engineering branch is well structured covering all the important aspects and in demand topics like Machine Learning, Data Analytics, DSA and many more. There are many labs focuses on developing skills like OS lab, DBMS lab.

The college also provide internship opportunity to the students from second year onwards. This year Google and De Shaw visited for an on campus internship hiring. The internship duration for second year and third year students are 3 months and for final year students it is of 6 months.

The average package of the Institute is 8,20,00. The highest domestic package is 47 LPA and the highest international package is 1.2 CPA. Some of the past recruiting companies are humming wave, hero fincorp. , TCS, Paytm, Contlo and many more. The students from 5th semester are eligible to sit for placement.

The fees for computer science engineering student is 99,775 amd for core branch students it is 84,775 excluding the hostel fees of 14,500. So the total fees for hosteller student of computer science and engineering student is 1,14,775. The students also gwt UP Post matric scholarship by UP government.

There are many cultural clubs at IET Lucknow like JOSH, Kalakriti, Auroras, Excelsior, Insaniax and technical clubs like Fractal, GDSC and Robotics club. The college also has its own social club "Parmarth". There is a sports complex with facilities like court for tennis and badminton, cricket field and football ground. The annual cultural fest is " Encore".

I live in KN hostel. It is the newly built hostel for the third year students with accommodation of 3 students in one room. All the hostels are equipped with all the facilities like Wifi or LAN, water cooler, geyser, table and chair.etc. In total there are 13 hostels at IET Lucknow of which 9 are boys hostel and 4 arw girls. The quality of mess food is quite well with 4 meals per day.

The college is well known for its competitive coding culture. It has pretty good competitive coding culture which is far better than many other tier 3 colleges. I opted this college because it is good college for students choosing computer science branch with the rank between 35000 and 55000. The admission takes place through counselling by UPSEE based on JEE mains rank.

The faculty members of computer science and engineering department are quite chill about the academics and they don't pressurize the students much about attending classes. However in core branch, the faculty members are strict at times. There are two class test namely CT1 and CT2.
