Discent college for engineering.

Overall the college is average in terms of academics. College life is not the best but techfest and other small events add great memories to life. But great bunch of friends always makes the college life the best part.

The course curriculum is followed that of GTU. The course actually needs to be updated and practical knowledge should be increased. In each semester, the internal of 2 subjects are taken in form of CET(continuous evaluation test ie kind of weekly test). The midterm exam is conducted for the rest of the subjects. At the end of the semester, the external exam is conducted by GTU. External vivas are scheduled in 3 & 4th year.

Many companies visit the college for placements. Most of the companies are from Vadodara only. Both tech and non-tech jobs are offered by different companies. No internship is provided by the college. College doesn't allow students for internship.

There are 2 main events celebrated in the college. At the starting of the term, Aaghaz is celebrated which is a grand fresher's party to welcome all the new students. In this, a DJ concert is organized. In February, techfest is organized. In this many technical and non-technical events are there. Many participants across India come and participate in these events. It is a 3-day event, followed by some cultural events in the evening daily. On the 3rd day, the event is ended by a concert of Bollywood singers like Mohammad Irfan, Kanika Kapoor, Divya Kumar etc.

At present, the tuition fee is 97,000. This fees in exclusive of other expenses. Additional fees for uniform, training and placement and many other extra fees is charged. Overall it is expensive according to the value provided by the college.

There is a scholarship program on merit bases. Though there are many annoying terms & conditions which students fail to accomplish. These terms are changed every 2 years and more difficult to achieve the scholarship.

there are many workshops and seminars conducted by different departments of the college. Inter-department sports week is also organized by the college. There is also cultural competition at the time of techfest.

Hostel facilities are not proper. Students usually doesnot prefer to stay in the hostel due to inadequate facilities provided against heavy hostel fees. Mess food is just ok. Quality is maintained a little bit in the mess food.

College seniors have always been great. Seniors have helped to bring some companies to the college for placement. Seniors have also helped in making some mandatory changes in rules of college which would benefit the future students of college.

According to the 12th results and JEE main marks, ACPC gives the merit number. According to the merit number, we get the admission in college we opt for. This whole process is online. You have to prioritize the list of colleges you wish for. Then according to your merit number you are placed in the college selected by you.

The faculties are well qualified. Co-operation with the faculties is good. But college fails to retain the faculties i.e. faculties keep on changing frequently. With frequent change in faculties, lab work and submission patterns also get changed
