Course Curriculum Overview

2

The only reason I opted for this course was because there was no other option. Being a PCB student you aim for knobs but I failed to crack neet and had choose from BDS, veterinary science and agriculture. Then I opted for bsc agriculture. The course is such that you will be prepared for field linked with agriculture either research or private seed/fertilizer companies etc. In curriculum lab works must be done accordingly instead of just giving a overview of the experiment the students should be made do it. The exams are conducted regularly according to the almanac and the difficulty of paper is from moderate to difficult.

Fees and Financial Aid

In CDU, the fees vary according to the courses you opt. I'm an agriculture student and for this course the fee structure is 1,10,000 per year. Students who are exceptionally good at academics and have a percentage of 97%+ in their 12th or intermediate can get a full fee waiver. Additionally scholarships are also available. The admission fee is 500 and other charges such a lab fee is not mandatory but the fines for seminar's if you miss it must be paid accordingly.

Campus Life

1.5

Usually college conducts a yearly fest and other small fest and cultural events are conducted by students of various departments. Other cultural events in accordance to govt orders are also conducted. The college library contains books related to courses, new papers, daily magazines. Ncc and other sports are also conducted. There is one instagram page which is handled by a student.

Admission

My rank was low so I had no other options but to choose then college, and the college being in the same city as I am that added a bonus. State entrance exams are accepted and direct admission are also done.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:8 and students relationship with the faculty is sort of friendly. Students can openly state their problems and demands and faculty also quickly work upon them if it is in their hands to sort it out. The faculty I like most is genetics ma'am, the way she makes a complicated topic seems dead easy is commendable. And there are few faculty whom I dislike the most, they just think just reading the content out of book or paper is enough rather than explains it. Semester wise two mid term exams and one final exam is conducted. And student who studied well for both the mid term can easily pass their finals. The curriculum is almost relevant to my course.

Generally, the campus placements here are good when compared to the other agricultural universities. The highest was around 1000000 and the average was around 400000. Generally, the students are eligible for campus placements from the end of the 6th semester onwards. like one of the companies like Anmol media, cpshpl, naandis association of urban farmers, etc. Most of the students were placed in my senior batch. They made around 30 offers. The percentage was around 91 in getting placements. After completing my course I will get a BSc in agriculture degree to my name. The companies that came for the campus placements here are good.
