Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education was established in 1984 by the Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities.[2] "Kalvivallal" Thiru T. Kalasalingam, veteran freedom fighter, was the founder chairman.[citation needed] It was granted deemed to be university status in 2006.[2] In November 2017, following a directive by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to drop the "University" from the name[3] it was renamed Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education.
Course Curriculum Overview
very good and thery are providing a new courses and i this college they are conducting two intrnals as sectional examinations and one semester examinations internal for 50 marks and externa for 50marks and the pass percentage is 40marks

in our college many nearly 10 to 15 groups are there (green army ,youth red cross ,Tamil mandram ,photograpy club,NCC,NSS, etc etc . sports and their are used to celebrate the programme in grand in mannar

Placements : The placement offers was satisfactory for our seniors and about 97% of my seniors are placed in various companies with a good pay.
