In IET LKO civil engineering is a good branch as their are many opportunities in this ever green branch. Their are a large number of vacancies on government sector as well as private sector. So for the preparation of govt exams and comp. Exams like GATE the location of the IET is very good as it has many coaching institutes near by in Aliganj which is at very close distance. Therefore civil engineering provides good exposure if your want to go with core engineering career. The CE department has many faculty members who teach you well but at the last you have to study yourself for the competition. In CE department, it has a minimum 50% attendance criteria so you can get good enough time for your preparation.

Not many internships opportunities are available and very limited companies come for the internship recruitment. You can apply off campus and the TnP if very helpful for any need. Usually only CSE students are able to get internship on campus and other core branch students apply of campus to get the internship.

The training and placement cell is very active in IET LKO. They are actively working for calling out more and more companies for the recruitment of students. If you are able to secure a seat in any of CSE branches and maintain a decent score throughout your college then you'll surely be able to secure a decent job placement. Core companies also come for placements but that ratio is a bit low as compared to CSE as the core students focus more on government and comp. Exams

The fees of IET LKO is comparatively less then other similar ranking colleges. The total college fees per year which includes the tution fee, exam fee, TnP, etc. is ?84,775. And if your opt for hostel then yearly you have to pay ?14,500 for hostel charges and ?4,000 for hostel management committee. And the mess charges are ?20,000 per semester that is ?40,000 per year. Therefore the total fees for one year will be ? 84,775+14,500+4,000+40,000 = ?1,43,275. Per year. Multiply it by 4 and you'll have total cost of your 4 years Btech graduation. All these was only for the Common and core branches the self finance branches have higher fee structure. After all this you can avail the scholarship provided by state government of UP every year if your annual income is less then 2 lakhs. College provide all the guidance and help for it. Scholarship amount if approximately 60k per year for general category and much higher for the reserve categories.

Their are few departmental fests thatbare organised by the student bodies and departments. These fest are are mostly 2- 3 days long which includes all the social, extra co curricular activities, sports and other enjoyments. The main annual fest which is name Encore is currently not happening since last couple of years since the covid outbreak. Other then that their are many clubs and societies for all type of activities from sports to martial arts to singing, dancing, acts. A social work students body name Parmarth is also their which work for the social upscaling and education of the children in slups and also other charity activities like cloth distribution.

In IET LKO their are seperate hostel facilities available for the student. The male hostels are located on the right part of the campus and the female hostels are located on left part of the campus, between them is the main academic building and lecture halls. Talking about the boys hostels 1st year gets 4 seated hostel, 2nd year gets 3 seated hostel From 3rd year it depends on your 2nd year scores whether you'll get single seated or triple seated hostel. 4th year gets single seated hostel. 1st and 2nd year hostels are better constructed as they were built later. The 3rd and 4th year hostels are very old ones wijce the college is very old. The mess food is not too bad, it s decent (you'll get use to it). And if we talk about rented PGs, their are many available in the nearby area of Aliganj and jankipuram.

After appearing in JEE main exam, and securing a decent rank you will be able to get admission in IET LKO. It is ranked 1st in all the AKTU colleges as itself is the constituent institute of the AKTU. As compared to fee top NITs, it's not that good but it is much better then those newly open NITs and lowers NITs. It is one of the best state government colleges and has a very active training and placement cell which actively works for getting companies to college for placements. As compared to other AKTU college the placement ratio is much higher, if you are able to secure seat in any of CSE branch and maintain a decent score throughout your college then you'll surely secur a decent job. For the core branches, few companies come for placements but mostly students focus on government jobs and compt exams as it has a better opportunities The pas record for GATE, IES, SSC exams for core students from this college if very good

Faculty members in IET LKO are the best in First year, after that students are devided into departments and it varies on which department you are taking admission in. Some of the departments like CSE are chill as they do not have mandatory attendance criteria on the other hand ECE and EE are a bit tough as their curriculum is also tough. The faculty members in the department are compromised of few permanent faculty and mostly contractual faculty as mentioned on the official website of the IET LKO. Similar to every college it depends on the individual faculty how they treat students, as some of them are really chill and some are very strict in terms of academics and class attendance. The Laboratory and practicals are also conducted by the faculties and few helping staff if also present in the labs for assisting.
