Course Curriculum Overview
B.tecg cse- the curriculum includes subjects like DSA, C LANGUAGE,PYTHON, JAVA etc. which cover the broader stream of this field which is really useful. The curriculum makes u well exposed to the CSE field. The subjects included in the curriculum are well suited. Although the learning process of the students could be improved with more practical and application based learning apart from just theory. Exams are frequent. Semister (6 months) is divided into two parts marked by mid- sem exam 1 & mid sem exam 2. Each consisting of 2/2.5 months..after the mid 2 , we have the semister exam within a week. But the mid exams prepare you fully for the semister so this 1 week is very much enough. Exams are not really tough. The notes provided by faculty are well versed to prepare you for the exams Apart from exam we are evaluated on basis of assignments and power point presentations on a project that we chose to do. This aspect could be improved a little..by strict evaluation.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester (3rd year). They are often put through various placement drives and interviews.. Companies like, Wipro, TCS, Accenture and other companies come..and most of Students get placed with an placement offer although the package may be less.. Highest package on campus was 23LPA last year ...tho students who opted off campus got higher... One of the past highest placements was 59 LPA. After getting the degree i mostly plan on expanding my career than going for higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees goes upto 1.25 lakh per year...apart from other fees like library and examination fees etc. the main tuition depends on your mode of admission. Library fee goes upto 20k. Around 10k for books and material in the first year, and 5k the other years. There are scholarship opportunities covering upto 35K per year... My batchmates have availed this..and pay somewhere around 75000/- per year for tuition fees.
Campus Life
Flash mob, Freshers,Traditional day, yearly mega event with a music concert (pegasus last year), Annual day, and other miscellaneous events. Library has subscriptions to 13-15 journals and magazines, a lot of books and research papers are available. Apart from the physical collection, there is a digital Libray consisting a lot of material. Within the classroom, we have good amount of fans, ventilation and projectors with a microphone podium, in each and every class. Electricity Is always present and we have generator always maintaining the flow without disruptions. We have a lot of student run clubs and communities, for coding, social skills, Ncc, film and photography, culturals and lot more. Each of it has its own significance and have improved a lot of lives. Coding club has focused on improving eachother..and most of the high end off campus placement are from these members.
Hostel Facilities
Girls Hostels are within the campus, and always have good security. One boys hostel is near the campus, but away from girls hostel. And another boys hostel is present about 6-7 km away from the campus but has a bus facility. Mess Meal is quite like redundant menu. With provision of non-veg 2 times per week. For the girls Hostels, each room is shared by 3 girls...with bed and study table provided for each. Hostel fees is around 100000 per year. The college is located in the outskirts (ORR) but still close to the city...and always with all facilities available. There are many private hostels and houses to rent around.. with multiple apartment and few gated communities nearby.(Walkable distance)
Admission
Although I didn't have much information about the college while joining, and wasn't sure if it was the right decision, I have been cherishing the experience I gained because of this college. It focuses on beyond the academics which helped me improve a lot in just one year. I didn't get a good rank in jee so tier 1 college couldn't be my chance. I couldn't join other colleges in the state because of my non reservation category even though I had a good enough rank in the entrance exam. Entrance exam considered for this college is the EAMCET. apart from this your board score in intermediate is considered. And there is also a management quota. The cut off for the general category in EAMCET for this college is around 13k-18k rank. You need to apply through the EAMCET councelling. If you get alloted this college, you need to first pay a confirmation fee. Then submit all you educational documents, which will be returned after completion of the course. And then pay the other part of fee.
Faculty
We have ample faculty, who are supportive and always ready to solve doubts although there are few facilities who don't coperate as much, but they are just few. For the core subjects, we have very skilled faculty who have rich expertise in their field...most of the lecturers have done a PHD or M.tech, others are assistant teachers or lab assistant teachers...who also have good knowledge, and are always ready to explain topics and doubts. Apart from academics we often have various events going on, like hackathons and other activities..in which faculties often guide and mentor the students.. with things like robotics and coding..and other things.. this is the best part where most of the learning occurs. exams are easy if you pay attention to the classes or atleast follow the notes given by the faculty...even if u r unable to attend the classes, solely relying on the notes provided too is ging to get you across excellently. (6 in 70 fail 2 mid-sem exams, 1 semister exam.per sem).
