It was a great experience to review about the college.

So the timings of the college is fixed like for our case it is from 9:15 a.m to 4:10 p.m. and you have to maintain 75% attendance throughout the semester otherwise you'll be debarred from the exams and not allowed to sit in the exams. It prepare us for the responsibilities and regularity in any form of future aspects. Curriculum is good as they change the syllabus according to the current demand in the market with new subject exposure which are required like various workshops and tech events are conducted regularly.

Placements for BCA department is good compared to any other college than IIT and JU because they are government and also IEM is known for it's better placements, various famous and renowned companies visit and recruit students from our college like TCS, wipro, cognizant, delottie and capegemini etc. Some companies offer good packages like SAP LABS recruit the highest number of student from a particular college that is IEM.

In every semester we have to pay 60k and yearly it is 120k and about the scholarship, it is given to those students who have serious issues like family business goes down, death of the earning member and other emergency situations and depending on the situation fees of the semester is waived like 50% and 100% or for one and both the semester.

Every week new events are conducted like hackathons or any tech event, I've never seen such events like we can join any event ongoing on bba and btech department, events are frequently happening like Innovacian, Smart maker festival and Bengal summit etc. Mainly story books are less and technical books are more present in the library. In every class digital board is available and with well equipped labs with updated softwares are present. Indoor games are present like carrom, table tennis and outdoor like small cricket facility and basketball court. Clubs like eco club, charity club and cultural club etc are present.

Rooms are not so big to accommodate, the food is offered is quite nutritious but not tasty, the quality of the food is average and it is very strict to love in the hostel, you have to follow the rules and regulations and maintain the timings. Before leaving to home you have to give the proper reason and to be sign the application by the authorities for the leave to home.

I have first applied for a different college but then my teachers and my other friends were telling about IEM that the placement and education is good not like other colleges where no discipline are followed and the environment is also not good, so I've decided to get admission in this college.

Faculty is student ratio is not that good also not bad. The bonding between the student and teacher is also good but because of the huge strength of students, it is not possible by the teachers to engage with every student but they try their best. There are three exams in a semester Mid sem 1,2 and the final sem. If you study well, then you'll surely pass the exam with good grades, teachers also try to give you marks to score well.
