Remarks

The elective subject is an issue in this university as there aren't a lot of faculties that are available to teach elective subjects to the students. Another issue is the security measures that are taken here. Those aren't a lot strong so one must be careful here in this university.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

All courses in this university follow the CBCS credit system which has its own advantages and disadvantages. I'm overall happy with the way the college grades a student. The entrance examination structure would consist of analytical and logical reasoning and also some simple mathematics to test the students mathematical ability. College examinations are of respective structure having respective types of questions.

Placement Experience

3

There is no specific Placement cell in our University for the outgoing batches so the students prefer off campus placements in high companies such as OIL, HAL, ONGC and other highly graded companies. Internship is mandatory in the 2nd year if our course and also for the 3rd years and post graduation students. Internships done by seniors are very enjoyable and educational. They learnt a lot which helped them create a mark for their future. However the internships are mainly not paid, though some of them are.

College Events

4

The annual cultural and sports fest that our college organizes is "Ankur" and a lot of participation is welcomed from various colleges. Other than this, departmental fests also take place where each department organizes their own kind of fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very nominal and affordable to students of every background as it is a centrally funded university. There are concessions for girl students, Karnataka state students and differently abled people.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university offers scholarships to economically backward castes of students and also to single girl students. Other than that university also provide scholarships to topper of every batch, helping them in their education by cutting down fees.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are equipped with modern and good equipments. In geology, there are a wide collection of rocks and minerals that students can examine and research upon. Engineering labs have workshops with efficient machines and state of the art facilities. The sport section has football, cricket, volleyball, table tennis, carrom and gymnasium on its side.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and seniors recommend this college to other people as it is an university situated in a free and open location and also due to its cultural variety. Education wise, they would also recommend this university as a lot of them have passed from here and got wonderful jobs into he future.

Faculty

4

Highly skilled teachers with appropriate degrees like PhD and NET qualification teach the students of this university. Along with permanent faculties, there are associate and contractual faculties also who teaches students. However there are some issues with the elective subject teachers that needs to be solved (there aren't a lot of these teachers which is sometimes hard on the students).

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
