Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was already interested in law because I used to love reading and study different things to enhance my knowledge. My course is of 5 years which is a sufficient time to learn different aspects of law and implement it on your life. The college conducts one mid term in every semester and then we have finals by the university of 80 marks written paper.

Placement Experience

1

The college has a placement cell but it doesn't work well. Few associates and law firms have came to the college till now but couldn't provide a good amount of packages. The students generally prefer off campus placement or independent practice after completing the course. After 4th year which is 7th semester the students apply for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 70000 for first two years and 90000 for rest three years inclusive of tution fees, lab fees, examination fees , library fees and others. Yes, the college do provide scholarship to the students based on their academic performances and also financial issue.

Campus Life

2.5

The college provides ethnic day celebration, college day celebration, christmas celebration, other dance and singing competition. Also, the college provide different law journal and legal review of the supreme court and different high costs of India. The college audio provide annual sports day organised by literary club.

Admission

I wrote CLAT and also applied to different colleges for admission in the same course but didn't get selected and also due to fee structure of the others colleges. The reason behind choosing this college was first the fees of this college is decent in respect to the resources that the college provides. Second the college is in Bangalore which will provide me good exposure for sure.

Faculty

3

The faculty is very friendly to students. They help the students when there's a need. The college conduct a mid - term examination in every semester before the final exam and according to that internal score is provided. Also, the internal marks depends upon how well you performed in the assignment writing and presentation of your assignment.

Interview Experience

2

Yes, the college provides admission based on the marks and then bring the first merit and after that the college takes personal interview and then release a final merit based on that. I prepared for the interview based on my prior knowledge of the law and economics and the general knowledge that I learnt.

Placement Experience:

The placements of Christ University Bangalore, are pretty decent. Students are eligible to get placements for the 9th semester, and there are a lot of companies that come for campus placements like Shardul Amrchnad Mangaldas and Cyril Amrchand Mangaldas, Khaitan, Puviyah and co., Trilegal and etc. The highest placement that went last year was 23 lakh, and the average placement is 6-7 lakhs. My plan is to do litigation after getting a degree.

It's the law firms like Wadia Gandhy, Dsk Legal, Trilegal and others. Some merchant bankers too are now a part of our placements thing and this is where it is getting interested as we are getting to explore new opportunities. Pay as of now is around 4-5 LPA but I hope it increases to atleast 10 by 2030.

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Mostly it's the law firms like Indus Law, Globus, PICT and others. The payment scale therefore is less when it is compared with NLSIU or other NLUs. Some private companies like the UB Group and ITC amoung other others are also coming to hire students who have chosen corporate law as their main electives.
