The curriculum is up to date You get theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge by seeing the patients admitted in the hospital This course prepares you for the real world where you can deal with patients of different illnesses as you observe and learn from the patients admitted in hospital

Internships Opportunities

There is a compulsory internship that is included in the MBBS curriculum itself. For 4.5 years you study different aspects of medicine and after completing the study you have to work as an intern in the hospital of the medical college in which you get see, handle, manage and treat various types of patients. You are posted in different departments of the medical college such as medicine, surgery, trauma, obgy, ortho where you get first hand experience in managing and treating the patients admitted under the various disciplines of medicine.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Government Medical education is quite affordable If you belong to SC ST OBC you have to pay a nominal fees of upto 10k to 20k including hostel If you belong to Open category then you have to pay the full fees for the year which is approximately 1lakh to 1.5 lakh The fees compared to private medical colleges is very low

Campus Life

The college has a state of the art Library where you can study various academic materials which are available The campus is the largest medical college campus in aisa with amenities like playground, swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, badminton court, and gym. The classrooms are huge and equipped with lastest technology for a better learning experience. There are various clubs such as Quiz Club, Dance club, music club, drama society, which focus on satisfying the artistics needs of a future doctor

Admission

I applied for admission in MBBS in the colleges that are near to my house. Out of which Gmc Nagpur was my first choice. As it is the best institute in my area that is vidarbha region of Maharashtra. As I got 590 marks in Neet 2019 and a rank of 10000 belonging to the obc category I got my first choice college Gmc Nagpur in the first round of counseling itself . Admission in the college is through the NEET UG exam And the cutoff marks for open category in first round of counseling is 640+ marks in NEET UG exam

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is excellent. There are enough faculty in every department of the college. The medicine department faculty is excellent. They teach you every aspect of various diseases that are important for a medical student to learn . There are various internal exams according to the year of study and if you qualify the internal exams then you get to appear for the university exams and if you clear them you proceed to the next year of study The internal exams are 1 st year and 2 nd year 2 internal and 1 prelims exam 3rd year and 4 th year 1 internal and 1 prelims exam If you clear the internals then you are eligible for the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because I wanted to become doctors from most prestigious college of India. I didn't get seat in AIIMS Delhi so then I choose this college as it is near my home town. The students faculty ratio is 70:12. All the faculty are passed out doctors so they are highly qualified and they teach us in such a way that no need to ask for any doubts. The university conducts exams after every 3 months and we all have to work very hard to pass the exams.
