Likes
- The college management is flexible and they cooperate with the students in things such as competitions, tournaments etc. They help with providing attendence.
- The college has a positive approach towards sports. There are many teams for sports like cricket football handball volleyball kabaddi kho kho etc
- There are many technical and non technical clubs in the college in which the students can join. The technical clubs cover all the fields of engineering from rocketry to biotechnology .The non technical clubs conduct events and do social work
Dislikes
- One of the things which i dislike about the college is that a good area of it is under construction. There is constant dust and not a lot noise.
- Some days can become very hectic as classes continue from morning 9 to 4:30 in the afternoon.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite relevent to industry standards as the college is autonomous. The course curriculum did not influnece my descision to take up this course. The frequency and timings of the exam are good .
Placement Experience
The campus placements in the college is one of the best. Students are eligeble for placment from their 6th SEM . Some of the companies that come for placements are Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Airbus etc. The highest package offered this year was 92 lpa. My plans after getting the degree is to excel in my career
Fees and Financial Aid
I took admission through the K-CET(Karnatak Common Entrance Test) which means I only have to pay 965000 as base tuition fee. However upon reaching the college for admission they told us to pay an additional 24000 fees dedicated to SKILL Lab.During the Semester End Exam I had to pay another 5000 as Exam fees, this is only colleted only once a year. One of my batchmate who joined through the COMED-K quota had to pay 257000 as base tuition fees. I had received 20000 from the state when applied through the State Scholarship Porta(SSP) and I was under the minority category.I am currently staying at the college hostel, the current fees is 145000. The base tuition fees will not increase and remain constant throughout the four years.
Campus Life
The campus life is good. The main fest called 8th mile happens every alternate year and E Summit also happens every alternate year. The library is full of technical journal and textbooks. There is a 15 day borrowing period. Every classrom has a smart board. Sports and extracurricular activities happen in a great extent.
Hostel Facilities
There are five hostels. The one i am residing in is the largest one. It has double sharing rooms. The rooms are quite spacious and enough for students. The quality of food is good but not tasty. Currently the price for a year including accommodation is145000.
Admission
I chose this college because of the amazing placement statistics which the college posseses. I had not applied to other colleges rather failed to score a good rank in their entrance exams. There three ways in which one can admitted into RVCE, they are through the management quota, KCET quota and the COMED K quota. Exams preferred are KCET and COMED k
Faculty
The faculty in a summary are good .The ratio of the faculty to sudent could range 1:45 to 1:65. They are very approacheble and help students in any matter ranging from studies to projects to personal issues. The relationship between student and faculty is amazing. There a total of 4 exams and 3 quizzes.The first two exams are the internal exams which is of 50 marks and a quizzes are conducted simultaneously with them. The quiz is of 10 marks. The third exam is also an internal exam but it is optional and those who want to increase their score along with the third quiz. The final 4th exam is the Semester End Exam. We get a few days study holidays before the final exams.
